ORDINANCE NS-1083 CHANGING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION
ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 683 INITIATED BY THE
PLANNING COMMISSION AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT
MAP 29-5-9 (EXHIBIT AA 683 A)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and
duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application 683, initiated
by the Planning Commission proposing to reclassify from the A-1
District to the M-1 District the property hereinhelow described;
and said Commission, by its Resolution 5959, has recommended
APPROVAL of said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit
AA 683 A; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing
on said reclassification on published notice as required by law
and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require that said property be reclassified from
the A-1 District to the M-1 District, and that the new classi-
fication will not be detrimental to the surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa
Aha, County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at the intersection of the center lines of
Grand Avenue and Warner Avenue; thence southerly along the
center line of Grand Avenue for a distance of 1,681.5 feet,
more or less, to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence continuing
southerly along the said center line for a distance of
636.7 feet, more or less; thence at right angles southeasterly,
30 feet to the northwesterly right of way line of the Newport
Freeway; thence northeasterly along said right of way line
for a distance of 777.2 feet, more or less; thence westerly,
290.6 feet, more or less, to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING,
is hereby reclassified from the A-1 District to the M-1 District,
and Sectional District Map 29-5-9 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 683 A.
SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall thke effect thirty
days from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 21st day of
June , 1971.
