ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION %699
FILED BY MONTEREY PA~K LAND CORPORATION TO RE-
ZONE FROM M 1 to R 1-PRD AND AMENDING SECTIONAL
DISTRICT MAP 26-5-10 (EXHIBIT A.A. 699 B)
WHEREAS, the Planning Com~ission has given notice of and
duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application 699, filed by
Monterey Park Land Corporation proposing to rezone the property
on the south side of Segerstrom Avenue, east of the Raitt Street
terminus, from the M 1 District to the R 4 District and said
Commission, by its Resolution 5993, has recommended approval re-
classifying from M 1 District to the R 1-PRD District in accordance
with Exhibit A.A. 699-B; and
Wq4EREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing
on said reclassification on published notice as required by law,
and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and
general welfare require that said property be rezoned from the
M 1 District to the R 1-PRD District, and that the new classifi-
cation will not be detrimental to the surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Ornage, State of California, described as:
Beginning at the intersection of the centerlines of Raitt
Street and Segerstrom Avenue, thence continuing along the
westerly prolongation of the centerline of Segerstrom
Avenue for a distance of 25' more or less to a point on
the east line of land conveyed to W. W. McCarrell by deed
recorded April 16, 1904, in Book 105, Page 104 of Deeds, said
point also being the True Point of Beginning: thence south
1259' + to the northerly right of way line of the Pacific
Electric Railroad right of way; thence east along said
northerly right of way line 633'+ to a point approximately
1436' west of the Lot 6 of the W~lliams Tract; thence north
along said east line of Lot 6 and its northerly prolongation
also being the east line of Lot 7 of the Williams Tract 1259'+
to the north line of said Lot 7, said north line also being t~e
centerline of Segerstrom Avenue; thence west along said center-
line 633'+ to the True Point of Beginning.
is hereby reclassified from the M 1 District to the R 1-PRD District
and Sectional District Map 26-5-1Q, as revised, is hereby amended to
show said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 699-B.
SEC~ION 2: That the Clerk of the Council shall certify to the
passage of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published in
some daily newspaper printed and published in the City of Santa Ana.
SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
from and after the date of its adoption, except as herein specifi-
cally provided.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 17th day of
