ORDINANCE NS-1162
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANAAPPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION
716 FILED BY NEWPORT EQUITIES TRUST TO REZONE
PROPERTY IN THE AREA GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS THE
AREA LOCATED AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF FIRST
STREET AND EUCLID STREET AND AMENDING SECTIONAL
DISTRICT MAP 16-5-10 (EXHIBIT A.A. 716-A)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of
and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application
#716, filed by Newport Equities Trust to rezone property
in the area at the southeast corner of First Street and
Euclid Street from the C 1 District to the R 2-PRD District
and said Commission by its Resolution No.6025 has reconunended
approval reclassifying from the C-1 to the R 2-PRD District
in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 716-A and:
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hear-
ing on said reclassification on published notice as required
by law, and does now find that the public necessity, conven-
ience, and general welfare require that said property be re-
zoned from the C 1 to the R 2-PRD District and that the new
classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding
property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa
Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at the intersection of the center lines of
First Street and Euclid Street; thence south along
the center line of Euclid Street for a distance of
210 feet, more or less, to the True Point of Beginning:
thence continuing south along the center line of
Euclid Street for a distance of 452 feet, more or less;
thence easterly along a line approximately parallel to
the center line of First Street for a distance of
660.6 feet, more or less; thence northerly along a
line approximately parallel to the center line of
Euclid Street for a distance of 662.4 feet, rmDre or
less, to the center line of First Street, thence west
along the center line of First Street for a distance
of 460 feet, more or less; thence southerly along a
line approximately parallel to Euclid Street for a
distance of 210 feet, more or less; thence westerly
along a line approximately parallel to First Street
for a distance of 200 feet, more or less, to the
True Point of Beginning.
is hereby reclassified from the C 1 to the R 2-PRD Dis-
trict and Sectional District Map 16-5-10 is hereby amended to
show said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit A.A.716-A.
SECTION 2: That the Clerk of the Council shall certify to
the passage of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published
in some daily newspaper printed and published in the City of
Santa Ana.
