BOUNDARY LINES OF THE WARDS OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
WHEREAS, heretofore, on November 26, 1974, the City Council,
by its Resolution 74-171, declared its intention to change the
boundary line between Ward 3 and Ward 5 in the City of Santa Ana,
which said Resolution was regularly published as required by Section
101.4 of the Charter of the City of Santa Ana and gave notice of
public hearing to be held on December 16, 1974;
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the boundaries of the wards of the City of
Santa Ana are hereby changed and established as hereinafter set out.
WARD NO. 1:
The boundary of WARD NO. 1 begins at that point where
Flower Street intersects the North City Limits; thence
generally Easterly along the Northerly City Limits to the
Easterly City Limits; thence Southerly along the Easterly
City Limits to McFadden Avenue; thence Westerly on McFadden
Avenue to Lyon Street; thence Northerly on Lyon Street to
Chestnut Avenue, thence Westerly on Chestnut Avenue to the
Southern Pacific Railroad right of way West of Grand; thence
Northerly on the Southern Pacific Railroad right of way to
Pine Street; thence Westerly on Pine Street to Halladay
Street; thence South on Halladay Street to Bishop Street;
thence West on Bishop Street to Cypress Avenue; thence
North on Cypress Avenue to Pine Street; thence West on
Pine Street to Main Street; thence North on Main Street
to Tenth Street; thence East on Tenth Street to French Street;
thence North on French Street to Washington Avenue; thence
East on Washington Avenue to French Street; thence North on
French Street to Seventeenth Street; thence East on Seven-
teenth Street to the Santa Ana Freeway; thence Northerly
along the Santa Ana Freeway to the point of beginning.
WARD NO. 2:
The boundary of WARD NO. 2 begins at the intersection of
Bishop Street and Main Street; thence Southerly along Main
Street to Edinger Avenue; thence Westerly along Edinger
Avenue to Flower Street; thence Southerly along Flower
Street to Warner Avenue; thence Westerly along Warner Avenue
to Bristol Street; thence Northerly along Bristol Street to
Edinger Avenue; thence Westerly along Edinger Avenue to Raitt
Street; thence Northerly along Raitt Street to Wilshire
Avenue; thence Westerly along Wilshire Avenue to Townsend
Street; thence Northerly along Townsend Street to Lingan
Avenue; thence Westerly on Lingan Avenue to Center Street;
thence Northerly on Center Street to McFadden Avenue; thence
Westerly on McFadden Avenue to Fairview Street; thence
Southerly on Fairview Street to Dahl Lane; thence West on

Seventeenth Street to the Santa Ana Freeway; thence Norther-
ly along the Santa Ana Freeway to the Northerly Santa Ana
City Limits line; thence Westerly generally and Southerly
along the Santa Ana City Limits line to the Pacific Electric
Railroad right of way South of Seventeenth Street; thence
Southeasterly along the Pacific Electric Railroad right of
way to the Santa Ana River; thence Southerly along the
Santa Ana River to Fifth Street; thence Easterly along Fifth
Street to Raitt Street; thence Northerly along Raitt Street
to Eleventh Street; thence Easterly along Eleventh Street to

to McFadden Avenue; thence Westerly on McFadden Avenue to
Bristol Street; thence Northerly along Bristol Street to
Richland Street; thence Westerly along Richland Street to

Street; thence Westerly along Willits Street to Fairview
Avenue; thence Northerly along Fairview Avenue to Fifth

The boundary of WARD NO. 6 begins at the intersection of
Sunflower Avenue and Flower Street; thence Northerly along
Flower Street to Edinger Avenue; thence Easterly along
Edinger Avenue to Main Street; thence Northerly on Main
Street to Pine Street; thence Easterly along Pine Street
to Cypress Avenue; thence Southerly along Cypress Avenue
to Bishop Street; thence Easterly along Bishop Street to
Halladay Street; thence Northerly along Halladay Street to
Pine Street; thence Easterly along Pine Street to the Santa
Fe Railroad right of way East of Minnie Street; thence
Southerly along the Santa Fe Railroad right of way to
Chestnut Avenue; thence Easterly along Chestnut Avenue to
Lyon Street; thence Southerly along Lyon Street to McFadden
Avenue; thence Easterly along McFadde~ Avenue to the Santa
Ana City Limits line at the Newport Freeway; thence Souther-
ly along the Southeasterly and Southerly Santa Ana City
Limits line to Sunflower Avenue and to the point of beginning.
WARD NO. 7:
The boundary of WARD NO. 7 begins at the intersection of
Edinger Avenue and the Santa Ana River; thence generally
Westerly along the Southerly Santa Ana City Limits line to
the Westerly Santa Ana City Limits line; thence Northerly
along the Westerly Santa Ana City Limits line to the Northerly
Santa Ana City Limits line; thence Easterly along the Santa Ana
City Limits line to Clinton Street; thence Southerly along
Clinton Street to the Pacific Electric Railroad right of way;
thence Southeasterly along the Pacific Electric Railroad
right of way to the Santa Ana River; thence Southerly along
the Santa Ana River to Fifth Street; thence Westerly along
Fifth Street to Harbor Boulevard; thence Southerly along
Harbor Boulevard to First Street; thence Easterly along First
Street to the Santa Ana River; thence Southerly along the
Santa Ana River to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2: That this is an Ordinance necessary to the
General Municipal Election to be held April 1, 1975; the sole

purpose of this Ordinance is to change the Ward lines and to
establish Wards for the holding of said Election; therefore,
this Ordinance shall take effect upon the date of its publication.
SECTION 3: That the Clerk of the Council shall certify
to the passage of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published
in'some daily newspaper printed and published in the City of Santa
ana.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of
January , 1975
