ORDINANCE NO. NS-1269
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
AMENDING ARTICLE VI OF CHAPTER 35 OF
THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING
SECTION 35-167 PROVIDING FOR A MAXIMUM
AMOUNT PAYABLE UNDER THE UTILITY USERS
TAX
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOE~
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:

Sec. 35-166. Violation; Misdemeanor.

Code ~hall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punishable
thereafter by a fine of not more than Five Hundred Dollars
($5~0.00) or by imprisonment in the Orange County Jail for a
pe~od of not more than six months or by both such fine and
imprisonment.

SECTION 3: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause,
phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held to be
invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of cO~pe-
tent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validi~ of
the remaining portions of this ordinance. The City Council/of the
City of Santa Ana hereby declares that it would have adop' this
ordinance and each section, subsection, sentence, clause
or portion thereof irrespective of the fact that any on more

invalid or unconstitutional.
