ORDINANCE NO. NS-1310
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 739
FILED BY ROBERT P. WARMINGTON AND JACK
L. EMBERTON, REZONING PROPERTY FROM THE
A1 (GENERAL AGRICULTURAL) DISTRICT TO THE
R1 (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE) DISTRICT, AND
AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 5-5-9
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of
and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 739,
filed by Robert P. Warmington and Jack L. Emberton to rezone
property, generally located on the east side of Old Grand Street
between Cherry and Beechwood Streets, from the A1 District to
the R1 District, and said Commission has recommended approval
of said application; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hear-
ing on said reclassification on published notice required by
law, and does now find that the public necessity, convenience,
and general welfare require that the said property be reclassified
from the A1 District to the R1 District, and that such new classi-
fication will not be detrimental to the surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of
Santa Ana, County of Orange, California, described as Tract Num-
ber 9151, recorded in Book 373, pages 1 and 2, of Miscellaneous
Maps, Records of Orange County, California, is hereby reclassi-
fied from the A1 (General Agricultural) District to the R1 (Single-
Family Residence) District, and that Sectional District Map
5-5-9 is hereby amended to show said reclassification, in accor-
dance with Exhibit A.A. 739-A.
SECTION 2: Neither the adoption of this ordinance nor
the repeal hereby of any ordinance shall in any manner affect
the prosecution for violation of ordinances, which violations
were committed prior to the effective date hereof, nor be con-
strued as affecting any of the provisions of such ordinance re-
lating to the collection of any such license or penalty or the
penal provisions applicable to any violation thereof, nor to
affect the validity of any bond or cash deposit in lieu thereof,
required to be posted, filed or deposited pursuant to any ordi-
nance and all rights and obligations thereunder appertaining
shall continue in full force and effect.
