ORDINANCE NO. NS-1359
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
APPROVING SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN % 2
FOR THE SENIOR CITIZENS HOUSING PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the zoning of real property commonly known
as the Senior Citizens Housing Project, bounded by First, Ross,
Third and Van Ness Streets and more particularly described on
attached Exhibit A, has heretofore been changed to the SD (Speci-
fic Development) District by ordinance amending Sectional District
~{ap 12-5-10 (A.A. 753), and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and
duly held a public hearing on March 28, 1977, on proposed Specific
Development Plan #2, consisting of sketches and plot plans, ele-
vations, floor plans, parking plans and other plans, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has held a public hearing on
said Specific Development Plan #2 and considered said plan, and
now finds that said plans are in keeping with the neighborhood,
and not detrimental to the harmonious development of the City,
and will not impair the desirability of investment or occupation
in the neighborhood, and
WHEREAS, the Council, prior to taking this action, re-
viewed and considered the information contained in that Environ-
mental Impact Report designated as the Redevelopment Agency's
Environmental Impact Report prepared and certified by the Santa
Ana Redevelopment Agency as the lead agency for the project pro-
posed for the subject property,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That Specific Development Plan #2, consisting
of plot plans, elevations, floor and other plans, on file in the
office of the Clerk of the Council, is approved and adopted as the
Specific Development Plan for the subject property.
SECTION 2: If any section, subsection, sentence,
clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason
held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of
any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall
not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this
ordinance. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby
declares that it would have adopted this ordinance and each
section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion
thereof irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections,
subsections, clauses or portions be declared invalid or

SENIOR CITIZENS HOUSING PROJECT
Ail that certain land situated in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
Those portions of Blocks 6 and 7 of "Dawson and Cummings
Addition to the Town of Santa Ana" as shown on a Map recorded
in Book 13, page 47 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles
County, California, together with those portions of Ross
Street, Van Ness Avenue, First Street, Second Street, Third
Street and the alleys shown on said Map that would pass by
operation of law upon abandonment thereof, included within
the land described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of said
Block 6; thence Westerly along the Northerly
line of said Block 6 to the Northeast corner
of Block 5 of said Tract; thence Southerly
along the Easterly line of said Block 5 to
and along the Easterly line of Block 8 of
said Tract to the Southeast corner of said
Block 8; thence Easterly to the Southwest
corner of Block 7 of said Tract; thence
Easterly along the South line of said Block
7 to the Southeast corner of said Block 7;
thence Northerly along the Easterly line of
said Block 7 to and along the Easterly line
of said Block 6 to the point of beginning.
Excepting therefrom the South 40.00 feet
thereof.
