ORDINANCE NO. NS-]512
ANORDINANCE OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA ADDING ARTICLE VI,
SECTION 13-60 TO CHAPTER 13 OF THE SANTA ANA
MUNICIPAL CODE ESTABLISHING A SPECIAL
REVOLVING FUND FOR REPAIR AND DEMOLITION
OF BUILDINGS DECLARED TO BE PUBLIC NUISANCE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended
by adding an article to Chapter 13, to be numbered Article
VI, which said Article reads as follows:
ARTICLE VI:
SPECIAL REVOLVING FUND FOR REPAIR
AND DEMOLITION OF BUILDINGS DECLARED
TO BE A PUBLIC NUISANCE.
Section 13-60 Repair And Demolition Fund.
(a) There is hereby established a special revolving
fund to be designated as the Repair and Demolition
Fund. Payments shall be made out of said fund
upon the. demand of the City Manager to defray the
costs and expenses which may be incurred by the
city in doing or causing to be done the necessary
work of repair or demolition of dangerous buildings
as provided in Chapter 8 of this Code.
(b) The City Council may at any time transfer to
the Repair and Demolition Fund, out of any money
in the General Fund of the City, such sums as it
may deem necessary in order to expedite the performance
of the work of repair or demolition, and any sum
so transferred shall be deemed a loan to the
Repair and Demolition Fund and shall be repaid out
of the proceeds of the collections provided for
in Chapter 8 of this code. All funds collected
under such assessment proceedings shall be deposited
in the Repair and Demolition Fund.
ADOPTED this 3rd day of December , 1979, by
the following vote:
