NS- 1600 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA REZONING PROPERTY IN THE "FRENCH PARK HISTORIC DISTRICT" FROM THE P (PROFESSIONAL) AND R3H (HIGH DENSITY- MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICTS TO THE P-SD AND R3H-SD (SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT SUFFIX) DISTRICTS, AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 7-5-9 WHEREAS, the real property in that area of the City of Santa Ana known as the "French Park Historic District, and more specifically described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is presently located partly in the P (Professional) and R3H (High Density- Multiple Family Residential) Use Districts; and WHEREAS, Amendment Application No. 858 has been filed to rezone such real property by adding the SD (Specific Development) Suffix to the abovesaid Use District designations; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on said Amendment Application and has recommended approval thereof, and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on the said Amendment Application on published notice required by law and does now find that the public necessity, convenience, and general welfare require that the said property be reclassified as requested in the said Amendment Application, and that the new classification will not be deterimental to the surrounding property, and WHEREAS, prior to taking this action, the City Council has reviewed and considered the information contained in Negative Declaration, I.S. No. 81-101; and, on the basis thereof, finds that the project will not have a significant effect on the environment; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the real property in the abovesaid "French Park Historical District" which is currently designated P (Professional) is hereby reclassified to the P- SD (Professional-Specific Development) Use District. 2. That the real property in the abovesaid "French Park Historical District" which is currently designated R3H (High Density-Multiple Family Residential) hereby reclassified to the R3H-SD (High Density-Multiple Family Residential - Specific Development) Use District. ORDINANCE NO. NS-1600 PAGE TWO 3. That Sectional District Map 7-5-9 is hereby amended to show said reclassifications in accordance with Exhibit A.A. 858-A. Smith's Addition of the Town of Santa Ana, as shown on a map recorded in Book 26, page 9 of Miscellaneous Maps, In the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County to the Point of Beginning.
