ORDINANCE NO. NS- 1698
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
AMENDING SECTIONS 34-105 AND 34-176 OF
THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE AND ADDING
SECTION 34-134 THERETO, TO AUTHORIZE
THE DIRECTOR OF PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT
SERVICES TO EXTEND THE EXPIRATION DATE
OF TENTATIVE SUBDIVISION MAPS.
SECTION 1: That section 34-105 of the Santa Ana
Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 34-105. Parcel map.
Parcel maps shall be processed by the city
engineer and the director of planning and submitted to the
city council for approval in the same manner as final maps.
No parcel map shall be approved if it fails to conform to a
previously approved and unexpired tentative map.
SECTION 22 That the Santa Ana Municipal
amended by adding a section, to be numbered
said section reads as follows:

Sec. 34-134 Extension of expiration date.
Any application for an extension of the expiration
date of a tentative map shall be filed with the director of
planning and development services on such forms as may be
provided by him for such purposes. The director may grant
or deny such extension. In granting any extension, the
director may require compliance with additional conditions
or requirements to the same extent as if a new tentative map
had been filed, provided, however, in such event the
extension shall be sumbitted to the city council and the
additional conditions or requirements shall be subject to
appeal by the subdivider in the same manner as a tentative
map under sections 34-128 through 34-133 of this chapter.
SECTION 3: That section 34-176 of the Santa Ana
Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

Sec. 34-176. Filing.
A final map for a subdivision shall be filed with
the city engineer prior to the expiration of the tentative
map approved for such subdivision.
