ORDINANCE NO. NS-1797
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED AT
414, 416 AND 420 EAST SIXTH STREET
AND 415, 417 AND 421 EAST FIFTH STREET
FROM THE C2 (GENERAL COMMERCIAL)
DISTR~CT TO THE R3H (HIGH-DENSITY
MULTIPLE-FAMILY RESIDENCE) DISTRICT
to make
certain
WHEREAS, Amendment Application No. 933 has been filed
a certain change in the zoning district designation of
real property, as hereinafter set forth; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission after duly noticed
public hearing, has recommended approval of the change in use
district designation as proposed in said Amendment Application;
and
WHEREAS, this Council, prior to adopting this ordinance,
has reviewed the initial environmental study prepared for this
project, and has approved the Negative Declaration for this
project based thereon; and
WHEREAS, this Council, after duly noticed public hear-
ing, has determined that the change in use district designation
proposed in the abovesaid Amendment Application is justified by
the public necessity, convenience and general welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
1. That parcel of real property located generally at 414,
416 and 420 East Sixth Street and 415, 417 and 421 East Fifth
Street in the City of Santa Ana, and more specifically described
as follows:
Lots 4, 5, 6 and 7 in Block 3 of Fruit's
Addition to Santa Ana as shown on a map
reco/~ed in Book 1, page 89, Miscellaneous
Records of Los Angeles County,

is hereby reclassified from the C2 (General Commercial)
District to the R3H (High-Density Multiple-Family Residence)
District.
2. An amended Sectional District Map No. 7-5-9 showing
the abovedescribed change in use district designation is
hereby adopted.
