NS-1800 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA SETTING 12:00 P.M. ON THE 1ST AND 3RD MONDAYS AT SANTA ANA CITY HALL AS THE TIME AND PLACE OF MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That Section 2-100 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, is hereby amended to read as follows: Sec. 2-100. Council meetings, time and place. Regular meetings of the city council shall be held at the hour of 12:00 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of each month. At a time determined by the council, said Monday meetings shall be recessed until 7:30 p.m. of the same day, at which hour the council shall reconvene. Council meetings shall be convened on the eighth floor of the City Hall, Santa Ana, California, and all meetings shall be opened therein, and thereafter convened in the council chambers in city hall, but may adjourn to such other place or places as the council may order. If, by reason of damage, repair, or alteration of the structure, or other emergency, said place is determined to be unsafe, meetings may be held for the duration of the emergency at such place as may be determined by the mayor or four members of the council. SECTION 2: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this Ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court or competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby declares that it would have adopted this Ordinance and each section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion thereof irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses, phrases, or portions be declared invalid or unconsti- tutional. NS- 1800 PAGE TWO SECTION 3: Neither the adoption of this Ordinance nor the repeal hereby of any ordinance shall in any manner affect the prosecution for violati6n of ordinances, which violations were committed prior to the'effective date hereof, no~ be construed as affecting any of the provisions of such ordinance relating to the collection of any such iicense'or penalty or the penal provision applicable to any cash deposit in lieu thereof, re- quired to be posted, filed or deposit pursuant to any ordinance and all rights and obligations thereunder appertaining shall continue in full force and effect.
