ORDINANCE NO. NS-1827
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA ADOPTING
SPECIFIC PLAN FOR STREET ALIGNMENT NO. 50 AND
ADDING SECTION 41-749 TO THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL
CODE TO ESTABLISH STREET ALIGNMENT FOR CIVIC
CENTER DRIVE FROM 200' EAST OF GARFIELD STREET
TO CONNECT TO SANTA ANA BOULEVARD 386' EAST OF
SANTIAGO STREET
WHEREAS, after public hearing on due notice, the Santa
Ana Planning Commission has recommended the adoption of Specific
Plan of Street Alignment No. 50, which establishes the alignment
of a portion of Civic Center Drive; and
WHEREAS, after hearing before the City Council on
notice as required by law, this Council has determined that the
alignment of Civic Center Drive from a point 200' East of
Garfield Street to connect with Santa Ana Boulevard 386' East
of Santiago Street should be established in accordance with the
said Specific Plan of Street Alignment No. 50 in order to promote
the public safety and welfare; and
WHEREAS, prior to taking this action, the City Council
has reviewed and considered the information contained in the Ini-
tial study for the project and has approved a Negative Declaration
for this project based thereon.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That Specific Plan of Street Alignment
No. 50 is hereby adopted by the City Council as the street align-
ment for Civic Center Drive from 200' East of Garfield Street to
connect to Santa Ana Boulevard 386' East of Santiago Street.
Section 2: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby
amended by adding a section, to be numbered Section 41-749 which
said section reads as follows:
