ORDINANCE NO. NS-1887
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
AMENDING SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN NO. 19
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, on
April 2, 1984, by its Ordinance No. NS-1723, adopted Specific
Development Plan No. 19 for that area of the City of Santa Ana
known as "French Park," which plan has been subsequently amended
by Ordinance No. NS-1764, adopted March 4, 1985; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, after duly noticed
public hearing, has recommended approval of a certain additional
amendment to said Specific Development Plan No. 19 as herein-
after set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That Specific Development Plan No. 19 is hereby
amended by adding a section, to be numbered 8, which said section
reads as follows:
Section 8. PROPERTY AT 710 - 714 N. SPURGEON STREET
The parcels located at 710 and 714 North Spurgeon Street
may be used for professional offices (as specified in Section 3D)
provided development is limited to the renovation of existing
buildings on the parcels for office use and that plans for such
renovation are approved by the Planning Commission and by the
Historic French Park Association as providing for architectural
compatibility with other buildings in the neighborhood.

SECTION 2: As a condition to the approval of plans and permits
for the renovation and occupancy of the buildings at 710 and 714
North Spurgeon for office use, the parcels shall be fully enclosed
with an eight-foot high construction fence and the structures
shall be secured from intrusion in accordance with City require-
ments until ready for occupancy.
