AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
REZONING VARIOUS PARCELS IN THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA TO PROVIDE CONSISTENCY
BETWEEN PROFESSIONAL ZONING DESIG-
NATIONS AND AREAS DESIGNATED FOR PRO-
FESSIONAL USE IN THE GENERAL PLAN
WHEREAS, Amendment Application No. 1029 has been filed
to make a certain change in the zoning district designation of
certain real property, as hereinafter set forth; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission after duly noticed
public hearing, has recommended approval of the change in use
district designation as proposed in said Amendment Application;
and
WHEREAS, this Council, prior to adopting this ordi-
nance, has reviewed the initial environmental study prepared for
this project, and has approved the Negative Declaration for
this project based thereon; and
WHEREAS, this Council, after duly noticed public hear-
ing has determined that the change in use district designation
proposed in the abovesaid Amendment Application is justified by
the public necessity, convenience and general welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
1. That area designated as 2A on Exhibit A, attached
hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby reclassified from
the P (Professional) District to the R-2 (Two-Family Residence)
District.
2. That area designated as 3 on Exhibit A, attached hereto
and incorporated herein, to the extent not already classified as
P (Professional), is hereby reclassified from the CD (Civic
Development) and C3 (Central Business) Districts to the P (Pro-
fessional) District.
3. That area designated as 4 on Exhibit A, attached hereto
and incorporated herein, is hereby reclassified from the P (Pro-
fessional) District to the R-2 (Two-Family Residence) District.
4. That area designated as 4 on Exhibit B, attached here-
to and incorporated herein, is hereby reclassified from the
P (Professional) District to the R-2 (Two-Family Residence)
District.

5. That area designated as 4 on Exhibit C, attached
hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby reclassified from the
P (Professional) District to the R-2 (Two-Family Residence)
District.
6. That area designated as 5 on Exhibit C, attached
hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby reclassified from the
P (Professional) District to the R-1 (Single-Family Residence)
District.
7. That area designated as 6 on Exhibit D, attached
hereto and incorporated herein, to the extent not already
classified as P (Professional), is hereby reclassified from the
R-1 (Single-Family Residence), LP (Limited Professional) and
C-1 (Community Commercial) Districts to the P (Professional)
District.
8. That area designated as 7 on Exhibit E, attached
hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby reclassified from the
LP (Limited Professional) District to the P (Professional)
District.
9. That area designated as 10 on Exhibit F, attached
hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby reclassified from the
P (Professional) District to the R-2 (Two-Family Residence)
District.
10. That area designated as 12 on Exhibit F, attached
hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby reclassified from the
LP (Limited Professional) District to the P (Professional)
District.
11. That area designated as 13 on Exhibit G, attached
hereto and incorporated herein is hereby reclassified from the
P (Professional) District to the R-2 (Two-Family Residence)
District.
12. That area designated as 14 on Exhibit H, attached
hereto and incorporated herein is hereby reclassified from the
P (Professional) District to the R-2 (Two-Family Residence)
District. The B-suffix parking modification is hereby added to
that portion of said area on the east side of Sycamore Street
between St. Andrew Place and Commercial Street, in accordance
with section 41-611 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code.

13. That area designated as 15 on Exhibit I, attached
hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby reclassified from the
LP (Limited Professional) and LP-P (Limited Professional-Park-
ing Modification) Districts to the P (Professional) District.
14. That area designated as 16 on Exhibit J, attached
hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby reclassified from the
CD (Civic Development), LP (Limited Professional), R-1 (Single-
Family Residence) and C-1 (Community Commercial) Districts to
the P (Professional) District.
15. That area designated as 16 on Exhibit K, attached
hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby reclassified from the
CD (Civic Development), LP (Limited Professional), and R-2
(Two-Family Residence) Districts to the P (Professional)
District.
16. That area designated as 17 on Exhibit K, attached
hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby reclassified from the
P (Professional) District to the R-2 (Two-Family Residence)
District.
17. That area designated as 18 on Exhibit K, attached
hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby reclassified from the
p (Professional) District to the C-5 (Arterial Commercial)
District.
18. That area designated as 19 on Exhibit K, attached
hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby reclassified from the
C-5 (Arterial Commercial) District to the P (Professional)
District.
19. That area designated as 20 on Exhibit L, attached
hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby reclassified as follows:
a. Those parcels on Greenville Street between Pomona
and Stanford Streets are reclassified from the P (Professional)
District to the R-2 (Two-Family) District.
b. That parcel on the north side of Edinger Avenue,
east of Center Street, is reclassified from the LP (Limited
Professional) District to the R-1 (Single-Family Residence)
District.
