AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING SECTIONS 36-
398 AND 36-403 OF THE SANTA ANA
MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE THE PARKING
METER FEES AND HOURS APPLICABLE TO
METERED PARKING IN THE WILLARD
NEIGHBORHOOD AND ALONG ROSS STREET
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That section 36-398 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 36-398.
parking meter fees.
(a) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (b) of
this section, the fee charged for parking in any metered
parking space shall be five cents ($.05) for each twelve (12)
minutes or twenty-five cents ($0.25) per hour.
(b) In the following described areas, the fee charged for
parking in any metered parking space shall be ten cents
($0.10) for each twelve (12) minutes or fifty cents ($0.50)
per hour:
(i) The area bounded by civic Center Drive on the
south, Flower Street on the west, Washington
Avenue on the north, and Broadway on the east,
exclusive of said perimeter streets.
(ii) Both sides of Ross Street between Fourth
Street and civic Center Drive.
SECTION 2: That section 36-403 of the Santa Ana Municipal
Code is amended to read as follows:
Sec. 36-403.
Hours.

(a) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (b) of
this section, the provisions of this article relating to the
operation of parking meters shall be effective only between
the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday of each week, except
such parking limitations shall not be operative on any legal
holiday.
(b) In the following described areas, the provisions of
this article relating to the operation of parking meters shall
be effective only between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of each

week, except such parking limitations shall not be operative
on any legal holiday:

(i) The area bounded by civic Center Drive on the

street and civic Center Drive.
SECTION 3: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause,
phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held to be
invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of
competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity
of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The City council of
the city of Santa Ana hereby declares that it would have adopted
this ordinance and each section, subsection, sentence, clause,
phrase or portion thereof irrespective of the fact that anyone or
more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses, phrases, or
portions be declared invalid or unconstitutional.
