ORDINANCE NO. NS-2216
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA REZONING
CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF
FAIRVIEW STREET BETWEEN ALTON AVENUE AND
MACARTHUR BOULEVARD FROM THE R2-PRD (TWO-
FAMILY RESIDENTIAL-PLANNED RESIDENTIAL DEVEL-
OPMENT), SD (SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT) AND C-4
(PLANNED SHOPPING CENTER) DISTRICTS TO THE C5
(ARTERIAL COMMERCIAL) DISTRICT (AA NO. 1064)
WHEREAS, ~endment Application No. 1064 has been filed to make certain
changes in the zoning district designations of certain property located on the
east side of Fairview Street between Alton Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard as
hereinafter set forth; and
WHEREAS, this Council, prior to adopting this ordinance, has reviewed the
initial environmental study prepared for this project, and has approved the
Negative Declaration for this project based thereon; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly noticed public hearing, has determined
that the change in use district designations proposed in the abovesaidAmendment
Application are justified by the public necessity, convenience and general
welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That certain real property located on the east side of Fairview Street
between Alton Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard and designated in Exhibit A,
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is hereby reclassified from
the R2-PRD (Two-Family Residential-Planned Residential Development), SD (Specific
Development) and C-4 (Planned Shopping Center) districts to the C5 (Arterial
Commercial) district.
2. Amended Sectional District Maps numbers 27-5-10 and 34-5-10, showing
the above described changes in use district designations, are hereby approved.
ADOPTED this 22nd day of February , 1994.
