ORDINANCE NO. NS- 2298
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTAANA REZONING
CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED ON BOTH SIDES OF MAIN
STREET BETWEEN THE SANTA ANA FREEWAY AND
MAINPLACE DRIVE FROM THE C2 (GENERAL COMMER-
CIAL) USE DISTRICT TO THE P (PROFESSIONAL) AND
R1 (SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENCE) USE DISTRICTS (AA
NO. 96-4)
WHEREAS, Amendment Application No. 96-4 has been filed to make certain
changes in the zoning distriot designations of certain property located onboth
sides of Main Street between the Santa Ana Freeway and Mainplace Drive as
hereinafter est forth; and
WHEREAS, this Council, prior to adopting this ordinance, has reviewed the
initial environmental study prepared for this project, and has approved the
Negative Declaration for this project based thereon; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly noticed public hearing, has determined
that the qhange in use district designations proposed in the abovesaidAmendment
Application are Justified by the public necessity, convenience and general
welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE v THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That certain real property designated as Area I in Exhibit A, attached
hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is hereby reclassified from the C2
(General Commercial) district to the P (Professional) district.
2. That certain real property designated as Area 3 in Exhibit A, attached
hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is hereby reclassified from the C2
(General Commercial district to the R1 (Single-Family Residence) district.
3. Amended Sectional District Maps n,,mhere 1-5-10 and 6-5-9, showing the
above described changes in use district designations, is hereby approved.
