The bidder must submit with his proposal a satisfactory 'check certified by a responsible bank and payable to the order of the City of Santa Aha, or e bidder's bond, for an amount not less than ten (10) per cent o£ the ag.~regate sum of the bid, as a guarantee that the,bidder will enter into the proposed contract if the same is awarded.to him, and in event o~ failure to enter into such contract said check or bond shall become the property of the City. The amount of the bond to be given to secure a fsithful performance of the contract for said ~ork shall be fifty (50) per cent of the contract price thereof, and sn additional bond in an amount equal to fifty (50) per cent of the contract price for said work shall be given to secure the payment of claims for any materials or supplies furnished For the performance of the work contracted to be done by the Contractor, or any work or labor of any kind done thereon~ ~nd the contractor will also be recuired to furnish a certificate that he carries compensation insurance covering his employees upon work to be done under contract which may bs entered into between him and the said City for the construction of said work° No bid will be accepted from a Contractor who is not licensed in'~accordance with the provisions of the Contractor's License Act, or to whom a proposal form has not been issued by the City.Engineer.
