RESOLUTION AU~HORIZIN~ THE CONDEMNATION OF CERTAIN
REAL PROPER~Y FOR PUBLIC STREET PURPOSES TO WIDEN
SOUTH MAIN STREET AND DECLARING TH~ PUBLIC NECESSITY
TH~EFOR
WHEREAS, South Main Street as it now exists in the City of
Santa Ann, California is inadequate in width to accommodate the pres-
ent and future demands of traffic thereon and because thereof, is a
present and continuing traffic hazard;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Council of the City
of Santa Ann does hereby find and determine that the public interest
and necessity require that South Main Street between McFadden Street
and Anahurst Place be widened and improved as shown on a map thereof
on file in the office of the City Engineer and herein referred to
for greater detail, to accommodate the present and future demands
of traffic thereon and further require that said City do have, take
and acquire an easement for said purpose in and to those parcels of
land lying in the City of Santa Ann, County of Orange, State of Cali-
fornia and described as:
PARCEL l~: The Westerly 5 feet of the following: Lot 17, and
She Northerly ~ feet of Lot 19 in Block "A" of "Tract No.
2~5, McFadden Home Place No. l", as shown on a Map recorded
in Book 13, page 22 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange
County, California;
PARCEL 15: The Westerly 5 feet of Lot 13 in Block "C"
of "Tract No. 2~5, McFadden Home Place No. l", as shown on
a Map recorded in Book 13, page 22 of Miscellaneous Maps,
records of Orange County, California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Attorney be and he is
hereby ordered and directed to bring an action in the name of the City
of Santa Ann in the Superior Court of the State of California in and
for the County of Orange, for condemnation of said property necessary
to be taken as herein ordered and heretofore described and do all
things necessary to prosecute said action to final determination.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the public interest, necessity
and convenience require and it is hereby ordered, that the City of
Santa Ann, a Municipal Corporation of the Fifth Class, Plaintiff in
the condemnation action ordered herein, take immediate possession
and use of the property herein ordered to be acquired, upon comply-
ing with the requirements of the law applicable thereto and that the
City Attorney report to the City Council, the amount of money required
therefor as soon as the same has been ascertained.
~E IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the said action for condemnation
of said property so to be acquired shall be taken in accordance with
Section 14, Article I of the Constitution of the State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the 3rd day of November, 1952.

of Santa Ana; that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced
and read to the said Council at its regular meeting held on the 3rd
day of November, 1952 and was at said meeting regularly passed and
adopted by said Council by the following vote, to-wit:
