HomeMy WebLinkAbout53-019 RESOLUTION NO. 53-19 RESOLUTION APPROVING MAP, DECLARING INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF ORANGE AVENUE AND FIXING TI~E AND PLACE FOR HEARING OF ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN OR OBJECTING TO THE PROPOSED VACATION WHEREAS, the City Council after study, concluded that a por- tion of Orange Avenue should be abandoned on the ground that it is unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes; and '~HEREAS, the City Engineer has presented a certain map show- ing said portion of Orange Avenue for the purpose of this proceeding; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said map be and the same hereby is approved and the City Clerk is ordered to file the same in the proceedings for the abandonment of that portion of Orange Avenue hereinbelow described that said map may be available for inspection by the public. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby declares its intentio~to vacate, abandon and close up, a portion of Orange Avenue in the vicinity of Adams Street as shown om and in accordance with an official map thereof adopted by this Resolution and hereby ordered filed in the office of the City Clerk and reference is hereby made to said map for further particulars. That the portion of said Orange Avenue herein proposed to be vacated lies in the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California and is described as: PARCEL 1. Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 18, Block "H" of South Santa Ana, as per map thereof recorded in Miscellaneous Map Book 5, at page 43, Records of Orange County, State of California, and running thence due south along the west line of said Lot 18 150.00 feet to the Southwest corner thereof; thence South $98 59' 30" west 50.00 feet; thence due North 52.68 feet thence North 30° 00' 00" East 15.65 feet to the beginning of a curve; thence Northeasterly along the arc of a curve concave Northwesterly having a radius of 350.00 feet through a central angle of 14° 53' 27" an arc~ length of 90.96 feet and tangent to the last described course; thence North 89° 59' 30" East 7.39 feet to the Point of Beginning; Above bearings based on the East and West lines of Orange Avenue running due North and South. PARCEL 2. Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot l, Block "I" of South Santa Aha, as per map thereof recorded in Miscellaneous Map Book 5, at Page ~3, Records of Orange County, State of California, and running thence Southerly along the West line of said Lot l, 151.73 feet to the Southwest corner thereof; thence Westerly in a straight line 50.00 feet to the Southeast corner of Lot $, Block "J" of said South Santa Ana; thence Northerly along the east line of said Lot 8, 151.71 feet to the Northeast corner thereof; thence Easterly in a straight line 50.00 feet to the Point of Beginning. That the 16th day of March, 1953 at the hour of 7:30 P. M. on said day in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, 3rd and Main Streets in the City of Santa Aha is hereby fixed as the time and place for hear- ing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation and abandonment of a portion of Orange Avenue as hereinabove described. That the City Council hereby declares its intention to proceed with this vacation of a portion of Orange Avenue under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941, Part 3, Division 9, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. That the City Clerk is hereby directed and ordered to publish this Resolution in the manner prescribed by law for the publishing of Ordinances of the City and the Street Superintendent is hereby or- dsred and directed to post conspicuously along the lines of that por- tion of Orange Avenue herein proposed to be vacated, at least l0 days before the date herein set for hearing, notices stating the passage of this Resolution of intention and the time and place of hearing herein fixed; such notices shall be posted not more than 300 feet apart and at least 3 of such notices shall be posted along said Street herein proposed to be abandoned.
