DE IT RESOLVED BY THE CIT~ COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA:
That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
adve'rtise as required by law for the receipt of sealed bids or
proposals for the doing of the work specified in those certain
Plans and Specifications adopted the 16th day of March

The foregoing prevailing wa~e schedules are 'based upon a
~orking day of eight (8) hours~ ~d in the event that
workmen~ or mechanics are employed les~ than eight (8)
per day, the rate of per diem wage~ shall be deemed to be that
fraction of the foregoing rates that the number of hours of
employment bears to eight (8~
In accordance with the provi~ions of Section 1Y77~5

Apprenticeship Council~ properly indentured apprentices ~y
be employed in the prosecution of th~ work~
The b~dd~r must submit with his proposal a satisfactory
check certified by a responsible ba~: and payable to the order
of the City of Santa Ana, or a bidder, s bond~ for ~u amount
not less than ten (lC) per cent of the aggr~gate sum of the
bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the pro~
posed contract if the same is awarded ~o hi~a~ and in event of
~ailure to enter into such contract said check or bond shall
become the property of the City~
The amoD~t of the bond to be given to secure a faitnl~l
performance of the contract for said work shall be fifty (SO)
per cent of the contract price thereo~ ~ud ah additional bond
,in an amount equal to fifty (§0) per,cent of the contrast price
for said work shall be given to secure the payment of clalms'
for any materials or supplies ~furnished for the performance
of the work contracted to be done by the Cont~actor~
work or labor of any kind done thereon~ and the Contractor will
also be required to furnish a certificate that he carries com~
pensation insurance covering his employees ~on work to be
done under contract which may be entered into between him and
the said City for the construction of said
No bid will be accepted from a ContraCtor who is not
licensed in accordance with the provisions of ~he Contractor's
License Act, or to whom a proposal form has not been issued
by the City Engineer~
The work is to be done in accordance with the profiles~ plans
and specifications of the City of Santa Ana on fils in t~e office
of the City Engineer, Room 201, of the City Hall of Santa Ana~
California. Copies of the plans and specifications will be furnish~d
upon application to the City Engineer for which a charg~
dollars will be required. The charge will not be ref%~dcd,

of per diem wage in the locality of the City of Santa Aha, Calif~
o~nia, for each craft or type of workman needed to execute the
work hereinabove specified is as set forth in the form of notice
hereinabove set forth, and said notice shall contain said
schedule of per diem wages to be paid to the workmen in said work°
