HomeMy WebLinkAbout53-032RESOLUTION NO .53-32 RESOLUTION PROPOSING TO ANNEX TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, DESCRIBING SAICE, GIVING NOTICE OF THE TII~ AND PLACE OF PUBLIC HEARING THEREON V,~iERE ALL PROTESTS V~ILL BE HE~,RD AND PASSED UPON, DESIGNATING THE NAME OF "KLNG STREET ANNEXATION" FOR SAID TERRI- TORY SFiTEREAS, CARL O. LARSON and TPLALIA L. LARSON have filed ape- tition requesting that the City of Santa Ann annex certain uninhabi- ted territory to said City, consenting in writing that the property within said territory may be taxed to pay all indebtedness and lin- bility of said City contracted prior to such annexation; and WHER~S, the Orange County Boundary Co~mmission has expressed its approval and consent to such annexation and filed a certified copy thereof with the City Clerk of the City of Santa ~na; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Council of the City of Santa Ann hereby declares its intention to amuex all that certain territory under the provisions of the ~nnexation of Uninhabited Ter- ritory Act of 1939, and finds and hereby declares that said territory is deemed uninhabited since it had less than 12 registered voters re- siding in it on March 2, 1953, the date when said petition was filed, and which said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa ~na, Call- fornia, lies in the County of Orange, and is described as: That portion of the Northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section ll, Township 5 South, Range l0 West, in the Rancho Las Bolsas, in the County of Orange, State of California, as indicated on Record of Survey map filed in Book 2, page 9, of Records of Surveys of said County, de- scribed as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of land described in deed to Carl 0. Larson, et ux, recorded December ~, 1946 in Book 1503, page ~12 of Official Records of said County, which i~ on the Easterly line of said Rancho Las Bolsas; thence ~outh 89© 46' 30" West 779.98 feet along the Southerly line of said Larson land to the Easterly line of the Right of Way of the Santa ~na ~ive~ through the Newbert Protection ~str~ct, thence ~orth 34~ ~8' East 687.70 feet along the Easterly line of said Right of t?ay; thence North 89© ~6' 30" East 683.88 feet parallel with said S~utherly line to the Easterly line of said Rancho; thence South 27° ~2' 30" ~Vest 637.~3 feet to the point of beginning. That the Council hereby designates "KING STREET ANNEXATION" as an appropriate name for said Annexation. NOTICE IS L~REBY GIVEN that the 20th day of ~pril, 1953 at the hour of 7:30 P. M. in the Council chamber of the City Hall at the intersection of Third and Main Streets in the City of Santa ~na, Cal- ifornia, is the time and place fixed at which the City Council will hear protests made by any person owning real property within said territory so proposed to be annexed. At ~ny time before said hour, any owner of such property may file written protest against this proposed annexation. Such protest should state the name of the owner and a description and area of the property in general terms. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Janta ~na at its regular meeting held on the 16th day of March , 1953.
