RESOLUTION APPROV~ ~AP, DECLARZ~G INTEETION TO VACATE
A PORTION OF NIneTEENTH STREET AND A PORTION OF LOUISE
STREET AND FIXING TI~ AMD PI~CE FOR HF~RING ALL PERSONS
INTERESTED IN OR OBJECTING TO Tt~ PROPOSED VACATIONS
WHEREAS, the City Council after study, concluded that a por-
tion of Nineteenth Street and a portion of Louisa Stneeb' should be
abandoned on the ground that they are un~eeessary for present or
prospective street purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has presented a certain map show-
ing said portion of Nineteenth Street and said portion of Louise
Street for the purpose of this proceeding;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said map be and the same
hereby is approved and the City Clerk is ordered to file ~he s~me in
the proceedings for the absndonment of that portion of Nineteenth
Street and that portion of Louise ~treet hereinbelow described that
said map may be available for inspection by the public.
BE IT ~JRTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby declares
its intention to vacate, abandon ~nd close up, a portion of Nineteenth
Street and a portion of Louise ~treet as shown on and in accordance
with an official map thereof adopted by this Resolution and here~y
ordered filed in the office of the City Clerk and reference is hereby
made to said map for further particulars.
That the portion of said Nineteenth Street and the portion of
said Louise Street herein proposed to be vacsted lie in the City of
Ssnta Aha, County of 0rsnge, ~tate of Cslifornia and are described as:
That portion of Mineteenth Street as shown on a map of
Tract No. 1572 recorded in ~iscellaneous ~ap Book 48, at
Page 16, Records of Orange County, lying East of a line 40
feet Easterly from, measured at right angles to, and paral-
lel with the center line of ~ristol Street;
That portion of Louise Street as shown on a map of
Tract No. 1572 recorded in ~iscellsneous ~ap Book 48, at
Page 16, Records of Orange County, lying Northerly from a
straight line drawn from a point on the Easterly line of
Lot 31 in said Tract 1572, 9.63 feet Southerly from the
Northeasterly corner of ssid Lot 31, to a point on the
Westerly line of Lot ll in said Tract 1572, 3.96 feet
Southerly from the ~orthwesterly corner of said Lot ll.
That the 20th day of Zpril, 1953 et the hour of 7:30 P. M. on
said day in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, Third and Main
Streets in the City of Santa ~a is hereby fixed as the time and
place for he~ring all persons interested in or objecting to the pro-
posed vacation end abandonment of a portion of Nineteenth Street and
a portion of Louise Street as hereinabove described.
That the City Council hereby declares its intention to proceed
with this vacation of a portion of Nineteenth Street and a portion

of Louise Street under the provisions of the Street Vacetion Zct of
1941, Part 3, Division 9, of the Streets and Highweys Code of the
State of California.
That the City Clerk is hereby directed and ordered to publish
this Resolution in the manner prescribed by law for the publishing of
Ordinances of the City and the Street Superintendent is hereby or-
dered and directed to post conspicuously along the lines of that por-
tion of Nineteenth Street and that portion of Louise Street herein
proposed to be vacated, at least l0 days before the dete herein set
for hearing, notices stating the passage of this Resolution of Inten-
tion and the time and place of hearing herein fixed; such notices
shell be posted not more than 300 feet apart and at least 3 of such
notices shall be posted along said Stree~herein proposed to be
abandoned.
