CITY MANAGER AND FIXING THE COMPENSATION
OF THE POSITION
WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of Santa Aha became
effective on the l~th day of April 1953 at the hour of
8:00 P.M. and said Charter provides for the appointment of
a City Manager, and
WHEREAS, Carl J. Thornton has for the past 20 months
served the City as City Administrator and has assisted in
placing the City Charter in effect and is conversant with
the problems that the City will face in the next few months.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED: That Carl J. Thornton
be and he is hereby appointed as City Manager of the City
of Santa Aha, and the compensation of the position of City
Manager is hereby fixed at $ ~ O~ ~per month.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
S~nta Ana at its special meeting held on the 14th day of
April, 1953.
