Overtime ~ Not less than one and one-half (1~1/2) times
the above rates°
Sundays and holidays - Not less than one and one-half
(l-l/2) times the above rates°
The foregoing prevailing wage schedules are based upon a
working day of eight (8) hours, and in the event that laborers,
workmen, or mechanics are employed less than eight (8) hours
per day, the rate of per diem wages shall be deemed to be 'that
fraction of the foregoing rates that the number of hours of
employment bears to eight (8)°
In accordance with the provisions of Section i?VVoS of
the Labor Code as amended by Chapter 971, Statutes of 19~9,~
and in accor'dance with the regulations of the California
ApprenticeshtpCouncil, properly indentured apprentices, may
be employed in-the prosecution of the work,
The bidder must submit with his proposal a satisfactory
Check certified by a responsible bank and payable to the order
of the City'of Santa Ann, or a bidder's bond, for an amount
not less than ten (lC) per cent of th~ aggregate sum of the
bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the pro~
posed contract if the same is awarded to him, and in event Of
failure to enter into such contract said check or bond shall
become the property of the City.
The amount of the bond to bs given to secure a faithful
performance of the contract f6r said work shall be fifty (50)
per cent of the contract price thereof, and an additional bond
in an'a~omn$ equal to fifty(SO) per ~ent of the contract price
for said work shall be given to secure the payment of claims
for any materials or supplies furnished for the performance
of the work contracted to be done b~% the Contractor, or any
work or labor of any kind done thereon~ and the Contractor will
also be required to furnish a certificate that he carried com-
pensation insurance covering his employees upon work to be
done under contract which may'be entered into between him and
the said City for the construction of,said work°
No bid will'be accepted from a Contractor who is not
licensed in accordance with the provisions of the Contractor's
License Act, or to whom a proposal form has not been issued
by the City Engineer.
'The work is to be done in accordance with the profiles, plans
and specifications of the City of Santa Ann on file in the office
of the City Engineer, Room 201, of the City Hall of Santa Ann,
California. Copies of the plans and soecifications will be furnished
upon application to the City Engineer for which a charge of $ 0_~
