TO VACATE PORTIONS OF GREEN~AF STREET AND BONNIE BRAE AND
FIXING T~ AND PLACE FOR HEARING ALL PERSONS INTEPgSTED IN
OR 0BJECT~G TO THE PROPOSED VACATION
~EREAS, the City Council after study, concluded that portions
of Greenleaf Street and Bonnie Brae should be vacated on the ground
that the same is unnecessary for present or prospective street pur-
poses; and
~HEREAS, the City Engineer has presented a map showing said
portions of Greenleaf Street and Bonnie Brae for the purpose of this
proceeding; and
~EREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended that said
portions of said streets be vacated;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said map be and the same
is hereby approved and the Clerk of the Council is ordered to file
the same in the proceedings for the vacation of those portions of
Greenleaf Street and Bonnie Brae hereinbelow described, that said
map may be available for inspection by the public.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLV~D: T~at t~e City Council hereby declares
its intention to vacate and abandon portions of Greenleaf Street and
Bonnie Brae as shown on an official map thereof adopted by this Res-
olution and reference is hereby made to said map for further partic-
ulars; and
That the portions of Greenleaf Street and Bonnie Brae herein
proposed to be vacated lie in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange,
State of California and ere described as:
All that portion of Greenleaf Street as described in Book
534, Pages 292 and 29~ of Deeds, Records of Orange County, and
that portion of Bonnie Brae as conveyed to the City of Santa
Ana by Deed recorded in Book 1706 at page 19, Official Records
of saiG Orange County, described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the Northerly line of
Santa Clara Avenue with the Westerly line of Greenleaf Street;
thence N. 1° 00' 00" E. ~06.34 feet, along the Westerly line
of said Greenleaf Street to the beginning of a tangent curve
concave Northeasterly and having a radius of 90.00 feet; thence
Southeasterly along said curve through a central angle of 90°
51' 00" an arc distance of 1~2.71 feet to its point of tangency
in the Southerly line of Bonnie Brae; thence N. 89° 51' 00" W.
~1.3~ feet along the Southerly line of Bonnie Brae to a point
in the Easterly line of Greenleaf Street; thence o. 1° 00'
00" W, 315.00 feet, more or less, along the said Easterly
line of Greenleaf Street to a point in the Northerly line
of Santa Clara Avenue; thence N. 89° 51' 00" W. 50.00 feet
along the Northerly line of Greenleaf Street, to the point
of beginning.
That the City Council hereby declares and determines that
public convenience and necessity require the reservation of an ease-
ment and right of way for the maintenance, operation, repair and/or
replacement of a sanitary sewer and storm drain upon, over and
through that portion of Greenleaf Street herein proposed to be vaca-
ted, described as follows:
An easement l0 feet in width along the center line of
Greenleaf Street herein proposed to be vacated bounded on
the South by the North line of Santa Clar~ ~venue, on the
East by a line parallel to the center line of Greenleaf
Street and 3 feet distant therefrom measured at right angles,
on the North by Bonnie Drae and on the West by a line paral-
lel to the center line of said Greenleaf Street and distant
therefrom, 7 feet measured at right angles.
That the l~th day of February , 195& at the hour of
7:30 P. M. on said dey in the Council Chambers in the City Hall,
Third and ]~ain Streets in the City of Santa Ann, California, is here-
by fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in
or objec~ting to the proposed vacation of said portions of Greenleaf
Street and Bonnie Brae.
That the City Council hereby declares its intention to proceed
with this said street vacation under the provisions of the Street
Vacation Act of 19&l, Part 3, Division 9, of the Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California.
That the Clerk of the Council is hereby directed and ordered
to publish this Resolution in the manner prescribed by.law for the
publishing of Ordinances of the City and the DiPeo~or of Public Works
is hereby ordered and directed to post conspicuously along the lines
of those portions of Greenleaf Street and Bonnie ~rae herein pro-
posed to be vacated, at least l0 dsys before the date herein set for
hearing, notices stating the passage of this Resolution of Intention
and the time and place of hearing herein fixed; such notio~s shall
be posted not more than 300 feet apart and et least 3 of such notices
