BE IT RESOLVED BY T}DE, CITY COUNCIL OF THE CIT~: OF SANTA
i~at th~ Clerk of the Council is hereby authomized and
directed to advertise as required by law for the receipt of
sealed bids or proposals for the doing of the work specified
in those certain Plans and Specifications adopted the ~_t~day

Notice is hereby given bidders that in accordance with the
pro~isions of Section ].770 of the Labor Code, the City Council
of the City of Santa Ana has ascertained the prevailing rate of
per diem ~ages.for each craft or type of workm.~an or mechanic
needed to execute the contract which will be awarded the
successful bidder~ to be as follows: ·
Overtime - Not less than one and one-half (1~1/~) i:imes
the above rates°
Sundays and holidays Not less than one and one,.half
(l-l/2) times the above rates.
The foregbing p~evailing w~g$ 4ehedules are based upon a
working day of eight ~) hours,, and in the ~vent that laborers~
workmen, or meehamics~ar~ em~oye~ le~s than eigh~ (8) hours
per day~ the r~te o~ per ~i~m~ages ~hall be deemed to be that
fraction of the forego_n~ rates that the nu~er of ho~s of
employment bears to eight (8).
In accordance with the provisions of Section 1777o5 of
the Labor Code as.amended by Chapt~r'971~ StatUtes ~f 1939~
and in, accordance wi%h ~he regulations of %he Calif6rnia
Apprenticeship Council~ properly indentu3~ed a~pr~ntices maN

T~e b$~e~ must submit with his propo~a~ a satisfacgory
check certified by a reaponslble bank and payable to the order
o~ the City 9f San~a Ana, or a bidder's bond, ~.an am/oumt
not less than ten (lO) p%r. cent o~ the aggregate sum oF the
bi4, as ~ guarantee that the.bidder will enter inta the
posed contract if the same is awarded to him, and in event Of
failure to ente~' into such co~tract said check or bond shall
become the property of the City°

licensed in accordance with the provisions of th® contractor's
License Act, or to whom a proposal form has not been issued

The work is to be ~one in accordance w~th the proftles~ plans
and specifications of the City of Santa Aha o~ file in the office
of the City Engineer, Room 201, of the City Hall of Santa Aha,
California° Copies of the plans ~nd specifications will be furnished
upon application t~ the City Enginee~ for wi%ich a cha~ge of $ 2~0~ _
