FOR Ti<E POSITION
~}~REAS, since April l&, 1954 the City of Santa nna, Cali-
fornia has had an appointed City Attorney on what is commonly
called a part time basis; and
?~2~REAS, the duties of the office of
to such an extent that it is now desirable
City Attorney have grown
that the City establish
the position of City Attorney on a full time basis;
NOW, TY~REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That J0~t K. C0~LL be and
he is hereby appointed as the City nttorney of the City of Santa ~na
and the compensation for the position of City ~ttorney is hereby
fixed at ~?00.00 per month to start on ~pril l, 1954.
BE 1T FURT~u~E~ EESOLVED: That the office of the City ~ttorney
shall be in the City hall and he shall maintain no other office;
that the City Attorney shall devote not less than 40 hours each week
to the business of the City.
BE IT FURTiTER RESOLVED; That Resolution No. 53-53 be and the
same is hereby rescinded as of ~arch 31, 1954 at the hour of 12 P.~.
