Overtime ~ Not less than one and one-h~lf (1~1/~) times
the above rates°
Sundays and holidays - Not less than one and one-half
(1-1/2) times the above rates°
The foregoing prevailing wage schedules are based upon a
working day of eight (8) hours~ and in the event bhat laborers,
workmen, or mechanics are employed less than eight (8) hours
per day~ the rate of per diem wages shall be deemed to be that
fraction of the foregoing rates that the number of hours of
er~olo~aent bears to eight (8)~
In accordance with the provisions of Section 1777~8 of
the ~abor Code as amsnded by Chapter 971, Statutes of 1939~
and in accordance with the regulations of the California
Apprenticeship Councii~ properly indentured ~pprentices ma~
be employed in the prosecution of the work,
The bidder L~ust submit with his proposal a s~tisfactory
check certified by a ~esponsible ba~k a~d p~yable to the order
of the City of Santa &na~ or a bidder's bond~ for an amount
not less than ten (lO) per cent of the agg~egate s~a of the
bid, as a guarantee that the bidde~ will enter into the
posed contract if the same is ~zwa~ded to him~ and in event of
failure to enter into such contr,.ct said check or bond shall
become the property of the City~
The amount of the bond to be g~.ven to ~ecu~e a faithful
performance of the contract fo~? said ~ork ~hall be fifty ($0~
per cent of the co~trac~ prico thereof, and ~n additional bond
in an amou~t equal to £ifty (50) per cent of th~ contract price
for said work shall be ~iiven to secure the payment of claims
for any materials or ~upplies furnished for the perforr~ance
of the work contracted to bo done by the ¢o~tractor~ or any
work or labor of any kind ~on~ the~eon~ ~n~ the Contraeto~ will
also be required to ft~nish a certificabe ~hat he carries com~
pensation insurance coveri~g his eH~loyees uDon work to be
done under contract ~hich may be entered into between him and
the said City for the construction of s~id work°
No bid will be accepted f~om a Conbractor who is not
licensed in accordance with the provisions of the contractor's
License Act~ or to whom a proposal form has not been issued
by the City Engineer°
The wo~k is to be done in accordance with the.profiles, plans
and specifications of the City of Santa An~ on file in th~ office
of the City Engineer, Room 201, of the City Hall of Santa Ana,
California° Copies of the plans and specifications will be furnished
upon application to the City Engineer for which a charge of
will be required° The charge ~ill not be refunded°
