VACATION, ABANDO~ENT, AND CLOSING
OF A PORTION OF GRAND AVENUE
WHEREAS, heretofore, on the 15th day of March, 1954, the City
Council regularly passed and adopted Resolution No. 54-25, declaring its
intention to vacate a portion of Grand Avenue, which said resolution was
regularly published and posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, public hearing was regularly held on the 5th day of April,
1954, the hour of 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, Santa Aha,
California, upon due notice in said resolution and said posted notices con-
tained;
NOW, Tku~REFORE, AFTER DUE HEARING, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City
Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, from all the evidence submitted,
that that portion of Grand Avenue hereinbelow and in said resolution described,
is unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes.
BE IT FURTHER BESOLVED: That said City Council hereby makes its
Order vacating, abandoning and closing up for street purposes, that portion of
Grand Avenue in the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California,
described as:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 73, of "Santa Aha Grand
Avenue Trac~", as shown on a map recorded in Book 26, at pages 53 and
54, of ~scellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California; thence
North 28 40' 05" East, along the Westerly line of said Lot 73, 37.83
feet to a point in the East line of Grand Avenue, 60.00 feet wide, as
described in the deed recorded May 10, 1892, in Book 63, at pa~e 230,
of Deeds, records of Orange County, California; thence North 0v 10' 15"
West, along said East line, 246.76 feet to an intersection with the
East line of Grand Avenue, 80.00 feet wide, as described in the deed
recorded April ~, 1935, in Book 747, at page 85, of Official Records,
records of said Orange County, said point being on a curve concave
Westerly and having a radius of 2040.00 feet; thence Southerly along
said curve through a central angle of 5° 41' 08" au arc distance of
202.44 feet to a line tangent; thence South llOll' 25" West, along
said tangent line, 81.21 feet to an intersection with the Westerly
extension of the South line of said Lot 73; thence South 89° 50' 25"
East, along said extension, 27.72 feet to the point of beginning.
