RESOLUTION OVERRULING PROTESTS OR OBJECTIONS
TO REPORT OF STREET SUPERINTENDENT, APPROVING
REPORT AND ORDERING A COPY THEREOF FILED WITH
THE TAX COLLECTOR.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANCTA ANA:
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
did, on the 15th day of March, 1954, pass Resolution No. 54-26
determining and declaring that weeds which bea~ seeds of a
wingy or downy nature and which attain such a large growth as
to become a fire menace when dry and which are noxious and
dangerous, were growing upon the streets, sidewalks, and
private property in the City of Santa Ana, described in the
itemized report submitted herewith; and
WHEREAS, on the 19th day of April, 1954, the City
Council further passed Resolution No. 54-48, ordering the
Street Smperintendent of said City to abate such public nuisance;
and
WHEREAS, the said Street Superintendent has given
notice as required by law,
August, 1954, at the hour
the time, and the Council
in which notice the 2nd day of
of 7:30 otclock P.M., was fixed as
Chamber of the City Hall of said City
as the place, where any and all persons interested in the said
report might be heard; and
WHEREAS, at the time set the Street Superintendent
submitted the said report~ and all of said protests or object-
ions to said report having been heard; and
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Santa Ana that all of said protests or objections to the
said report of the work done, be and the same are hs~eby over-
ruled and the report affirmed, and that the Street Superintendent
be, and he is hereby directed to file a copy of said report with
the Tax Collector.

I, H. H. FOREMAN, do hereby certify that I am
the Acting Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana;
that I did on the 28th day of July, 1954, post on or near
the chamber door of the Legislative Body, to-wit: the City
Council, of the City of Santa Ana, a notice of the time when
my report of the ac%ount of, and the cost of abating and
destroying weeds would be submitted to such City Council;
a copy of which notice and of the account so posted by me
are annexed hereto, and made a part hereof; that said notice
and said account were kept posted from and after said 28th
day of July, 1954, for at least three (3) days prior to the
2nd day of August, 1954, as required by law.
