OF PROPERTY FOR DRAINAGE PURPOSES
WHEHEAS~ DOXANDER P. LEONARD and EDNA M. LEONARD, husband and wife, .
have presented to the City Council a grant deed, d~ted October 18, 1954,
conveying property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of
California, described as:
An easement for drainage purposes over and along the North
12 feet of Lot 14 of Potts, Borden and Sidwell Tract, as shown
on a Map thereof recorded in Book 4, page 624 of Miscellaneous
Records of Los Angeles County, California.
The grantors herein, their successors and assigns, shall
have the right to use and maintain said 12-foot strip as a
private roadway, with access thereto at any point.
This easement deed is given for the purpose of providing
drainage for proposed Tract No. 1939, and if the Map of said
Tract No. 1939 is not recorded within one year from date, or
if satisfactory drainage is provided Westerly to Bristol Street
along another route, the surface drainage easement herein granted
shall cease and be abandoned.
The grantee herein agrees not to disturb trees within said
12-foot easement without the consent of the grantors herein.
The exact location of the drainage ditch to be located within
said 12-foot easement is to be determined by the grantors herein.
This easement is limited to surface drainage only by open ditch which
shall not be over 5 feet in width nor i foot in depth and shall not be
surfaced with any paving material.
NOW~ THEREFOBE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Aha accepts said
deed and the Clerk of the Council is hereby instructed to cause said deed to be
recorded with the County Recorder of Orange County, California.
PASSED AND ADO~£~:D by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its
regular meeting held on the 6th day of December , 1954.
