A1TNEXATION TO CITY OF 8AIITA AKA OF THAT CERTAIN UN-
INHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN AND DESIGNATED
"WILD-MIZE ANNEX"~ AND GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND
PLACE FOR REARING OF PROTESTS THERETO
WHEREAS, the owners of certain real property hereinbelow described
have filed a petition with the Clerk of the Council, requesting that the City
of Santa Ana, California annex said real property, stating that the same is
uninhabited, consenting in writing that said real property may be taxed to pay
any indebtedness or liability of said City contracted prior to such annexation;
and
WHEREAS, the Boundary Conm~ission of Orange County, California, has
approved the description of said real property as herein set out for the purpose
of annexation and the Planning Com~ ssion of Santa Aha has approved the annexa-
tion of said territory;
NOW~ THEitEFOEE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana hereby declares its intention to annex all that certain territory under
the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 and finds
and hereby declares that said territory is deemed uninhabited since it had less
than 12 registered voters residing in it on December 20th, 1954~ the date ~w~en
said petition was filed, that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa
Ana, California, lies in the County of Orange, and is described as:
All that certain land situated in the County of Orange, State
of California, described as follows, to-wit:
That portion of the James McFadden Allotment in the Rancho
Santiago de Santa Ana, described as follows:
Beginn~ug at the intersection of the center line of Delhi Road
with the west line of the Orange County Flood Control District right
of way, as said road and right of way are shown on a map filed in
book 27, page 43 of Record of Surveys in the office of the County
Recorder of Orange County, California; thence North 89° 22' 10"
west along the center line of said Delhi Road a distance of 1628.00
feet; thence south 0° 38' 16" west 2315.00 feet; thence south 89°
22' 10" East 1628.00 feet to the west line of said Orange County
Flood Control District right of way; thence north 0° 38' 16" east
2315.00 feet to the point of beginning.
Said west line of said Orange County Flood Control District
right of way is identical with the West line thereof as shown on
map filed in Book 28, page 37 of said Record of Surveys.
That the Council hereby designates "WILD-MIZE ANM~" as an appropriate
name ~b~ said annexation.
That said City Council hereby declares its intention to and it will
annex said territory to and include it within the Santa Ana Elementary School
District, Santa Aha High School District and Santa Aha Junior College District and
upon the completion of said annexation, said territory shall be and become a
part of said School Districts.
NOTICE IS ~l~EBY GIVEN that the 7th day of Februar~ 19~ ,
at the hour of 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall at the inter-
section of Third and Main Streets in the City of Santa Aha, California, is the
time and place fixed at which the City Council will hear protests made by any
person owning real property within said territory so proposed to be annexed. At
any time' before said hour, any owner of any of said property may file written
protest against this proposed annexation. Such protest should state the name
of the owner and a description and area of the property in general terms.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its
regular meeting held on the 20th day of December, 19~
