ANNEXATION TO CITY OF SANTA ANA OF THAT CERTAIN
UNINHABIT~u TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN AND DESIG-
NAT~ "FIFTH AT KING ANNEX", AND GIVING NOTICE
OF T]~4E AND PLACE FOR HEARING OF PROTESTS TEERETO
WHEi~%S, the owners of certain real property hereinbetow described have
filed a petition with the Clerk of the Council, requesting that the City of
Santa Ana, California, annex said real property, stating that the same is unin-
habited, consenting in writing that said real property may be taxed to pay any
indebtedness or liability of said City contracted prior to such annexation; and
WHEREAS, the Boundary Commission of Orange County, California, has
approved the description of said real property as herein set out for the purpose
of annexation and the Planning Commission of Santa Aha has approved the annexation
of said territory;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana hereby declares its intention to annex all that certain territory under
the provisions of the Annexation of UnJnbshited Territory Act of 1939 and finds
and hereby declares that said territory is deemed uninhabited since it had less
than 12 registered voters residing in it on January 25, 1955, the date when said
petition was filed, that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Aha,
California, lies in the County of Orange, and is described as:
Beginning at an angle point on the boundary line of the City of
Santa Aha North 23° 23' 00"; East 71_3.46 feet from a point on the
North line of Section 15, T. 5 S.~ R. l0 W., S.B.B. & M. 1224.25 feet
Westerly from the Northeast corner of said Section 15; thence North
89° 42' 00" W. 338.70 feet along said City Boundary to a point; thence
North 23° 23' 10" E. 741.01 feet to the center line of Fifth Street;
thence North 89° 35' 00" East aloo~ the center line of Fifth Street
77.17 feet to a point; thence South 73° 33' 15" East along the center
line of Fifth Street 245.02 feet to the City Boundary; thence South
27° 38' 45" West 31.00 feet along said City Boundary to a point;
thence South 23° 23' 00" West along said City Boundary 638.0~ feet
to the point of beginning.
All bearings and distances are as shown on a licensed Surveyor's
Map filed in Book 28, Page 36~ of Record of Survey in the Office of
the County Recorder of Orange County, Californis~
That said Council hereby designated "FIFTH AT KING ANNE~' as an appropriate
name for said annexation.
That said Council hereby declares its intention to and it will annex said
territory to and include it within the Santa Ana Elementary School District~
Santa Ana High School District and Santa Ana Junior College District and upon the
completion of said aunez~tion, said territory shall be and become a part of said
School District.
NOTICE IS HEEEBY GIVEN that March 21, 1955 at the hour of 7:30 P.M.
in the Council Chambers of the City Hall at the intersection of Third and
Main Streets in the City of Santa Aha, California, is the time ~nd place fixed
at which said Council will hear protests mszle by any person owning real prop-
erty within said territory so proposed to be annexed. At ~ time before said
hour, any owner of any of said property may file written protest against this
proposed annexation. Such protest should state the name of the owner and a description
and area of the property in general terms.
