HomeMy WebLinkAbout55-088RESOLUTION NO. 55-88 OPPOSING ASSEMBLY BILL NO. 3762 WHEREAS~ there is now pending before the State Legislature Assembly Bill No. 3762, which if enacted would take from the City of Long Beach, California, that portion of its revenue derived from its tide lands and sub- merged lands which resulted from oil and gas produced therefrom~ and would result in a breach of faith on the part of the State of California as a restult of upsetting an established situation of many yearns standing. NOW~ THEEEFOltE~ BE IT RESOLVED: ~at the City Co~n~cil of the City of Santa Aha, an inland city with no beach frontage or no portion of its City within nine miles of any ocean beach, hereby expresses its strong opposition to Assembly Bill No. 3762 as an unwarranted confiscation of money and property, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Clerk of the Council is hereby directed to send certified copies of this Resolution to our Senators and our Assemblymen for their consideration.
