~ EVERETT RODNEY ENGEL, a married m,n, and RODGER ROY ENGEL~
a m~rried man, have presented to the City Council a grant deed, dated April
26, 1955, conveying property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange,
State of California, described as:
An easement for sanitary sewer purposes over the West 15 feet of
the East 670 feet, measured at right angles from the center line of
~ain Street, of the following described land:
That portion of the land allotted to Abel Stearns in Decree of
Partition of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana, recorded in Book B
of Judgments of the 17th Judicial District Court of Los Angeles
County , California, in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State
of California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point 174.1 feet North of the Northeast corner of
Section l, in Township 5 South, Range l0 West, which is the Northeast
corner of the land allotted to William Ferguson in said Decree of
Partition; thence North 179 feet; thence West 1587.8 feet to the
Easterly line of the Southern Pacific Railway right of way; thence
Southeasterly 225 feet along said right of way to the Northwest corner
of land described in deed to W. J. Hole, recorded in book 102, page
123, Deeds, records of said Orange County; thence East 1452 feet to
the point of beginning.
RESERVING unto Grantors, their heirs and assigns the nonexclusive
right to connect to and use said Sanitary Sewer for disposal of dom-
estic sewage without the payment of any part of the cost of installing
said Sanitary Sewer, which said right is the consideration for this
grant in lieu of any cash consideration.
NOW~ TBEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana accepts said
deed and the Clerk of the Council is hereby instructed to cause said deed to be
recorded with the County Recorder of Orange County, California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha at its
regular meeting held on the 2nd day of May, 1955.
