W~IEREAS, EMMET C. ROGERS and JUNA ROGERS, husband and
wife, have presented to the City Council a grant deed dated
Narch 9th, 1955, conveying property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
An easement for street purposes over that portion
of Lot 9 of the Bates Tract, as shown on a map thereof
recorded in Book l, Page 96 of Miscellaneous Record
Naps, records of said Orange County, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeasterly corner of Lot 4 of
Tract No. 1740, as shown on a map thereof recorded in
.Book 52, at Page 22 of Miscellaneous Naps, said corner
being on a curve concave Southerly and having a radius o
of 1030 feet, a radial line at said point bears South
Ol' 48" East, and running thence Easterly, along the arc
of said curve through a central angle llu 13' 29" an arc
distance of 201.78 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot
of Tract No. 2053, as shown on a map thereof recorded in
Book 53, at Page 41 of Miscellaneous ~aps; thence South
' 0° 43' 50" West, along the West llne of said Tract No. 2053,
60.20 feet to the Northwest co~ner of Lot ? of said Tract
No. 2053; thence Westerly along a curve concentric with the
first described course, concave Southerly and ha~fng a
radius of 970 feet, through a central angle of 5 32' 05"
an arc distance of 93.70 feet to a point of compound cur-
vature; thence along the arc of a curve concave Southeast-
erly, having a radius of 15 feet, through a central angle
of 89° 44' 3~" an arc distance of 23.49 feet to a tangent
line; thence Southerly, along said tangent line, 4.66 feet
to the beginning of a tangent curve concave Westerly and
having a radius of 830 feet; thence Southerly, along said
curve through a central angle of 9° 20' 00" an arc dis-
tance of 135.20 feet to a radial line which bears South
89° 58' 10" West; thence South 89° 58' 10" West along said
radial line 60 feet to the beginning of a curve concentric
with the last mentioned curve and having a radius of
feet; thence Northerly, along said curve, through a central
angle of 9° 20' 00" an arc distance of 125.43 feet to a
point of compound curvature; thence along the arc of a
curve concave Southwesterly, having a radius of 15 feet,
through a central angle of 95o 39' 58", an arc distance of
25.05 feet to a point, thence North 15 ~i!> 48 West along
the Easterly end of Riviera Drive as shown~'~on said Tract No.
1740, 60 feet to the point of beginning. ~.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana
accepts said deed and the Clerk of the Council is hereby instructed
to cause said deed to be recorded with the County Recorder of
Orange County, California.
