TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA OF THAT CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRI-
TORY DESCRIBED HEREIN AND DESIGNATED "SECCOMBE ANNEX NO. 2"
AND GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OF PROTESTS

WHEREAS, the Boundary Commission of Range County, California
has approved the description of certain real property as herein set
out for the purpose of annexation and the Planning Commission of
Santa Aha has approved the annexation of said territory; and
WHEREAS, the owners of said real property have filed a petition
with the Clerk of the Council, requesting that the City of Santa Aha,
California annex said real property, stating that the same is unin-
habited, consenting in writing that said real property may be taxed
to pay any indebtedness or liability of said City contracted prior to
such annexation;
NOW, THEREFORE, ~E IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Aha hereby declares its intention to annex all of said
territory under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Ter-
ritory Act of 1939 and finds and hereby declares that said territory is
deemed uninhabited since it had less than 12 registered voters resid-
ing in it on November 7, 1955, the date when said petition was filed,
that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana, California,
lies in the County of Orange, and is described as:
Beginning at the North East corner of the Southwest one
quarter of ~ection 30, Township 5 South, Range 9 West, San
Bernardino Base and Meridian, said Northeast corner being
also the Nbrtheast corner of the Seccombe Addition to Dyer as
shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 8, Page 17 of Miscel-
laneous Maps, Records of Orange County, State of California;
thence South 00° 40, 00" East 1338.20 feet along the East line
of said Seccombe Addition and its Southerly extension and along
the City Boundary of the City of Santa Ana, California to an
angle point in said City Boundary; thence South 89° 56' 53"
West 190.00 feet along said City Boundary to its intersection
with the Southerly extension of the West line of Harbor Road 50
feet in width as shown on said Map of the Seccombe Addition;
thence North 00° 40, O0"West 668.32 feet along said West line
of Harbor Road and its Southerly extension; thence West 140.00
feet along the South line of Lot 13, Block A in said Seccombe
Addition to the West line of said Seccombe Addition; thence
North 00° 40' 00" West 670.00 feet along said West line of
Seccombe Addition and along the City Boundary line of the City
of Santa Ana to an angle point in said City Boundary, said angle
point being on the center line of Dyer Road; thence East 330.00
feet along said center line of Dyer Road and along the North
line of said Seccombe Addition and along said City Boundary to the
point of beginning.
That said Council hereby designated "SECCOMBE ANNEX NO. 2" as
an appropriate name for said annexation.
That said Council hereby declares its intention to and it will
annex said territory to and include it within the Santa Ana Elementary
School District, Santa Aha High School District and Santa Ana Junior
College District and upon the completion of said annexation, said
territory shall be and become a part of said School Districts.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that December 19, 1955 at the hour of
7:30 P. M. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall at Third and :~ain
Streets, in the City of Santa Ana, California, is the time aD~i place
fixed at which said Council will hear protests made by any person
owning real property within said territory so proposed to be annexed.
At any time before said hour, any owner of any of said property may
file written protest against this proposed annexation. Such protest
should state the owner's name and, in general terms, a description
and area 6f the property owned.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha
at its regular meeting held on the 7th day of November,

Council of the City of Santa Aha; that the foregoing Resolution was
regularly introduced to said Council at its regular meeting held on
the 7th day of November, 1955, and was at said meeting regularly
