TO TH~ CITY OF SANTA ANA OF THAT CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESCKIBED 9~REIN AND DESIGNATED "SCHOOL AND PARK ANiFEX NO. 2"
AND GIVING NOTICE OF TIW~. AND PLACE FOR HEARING OF PROTESTS
THERETO
WHEREAS, the Boundary Commission of Orange County, California
has approved the description of certain real property as herein set
out for the purpose of annexation and the Planning Commission of
Santa Arm has approved the annexation of said territory; and
WHEREAS, the owners of said real property haw filed a petition
with the Clemk of the Council, requesting that the City of Santa Arm,
California annex said real property, stating that the same is uninhab-
ited, consenting in w~iting that said real property may be taxed to pay
any indebtedness or liability of said City contrected prior to such
annexat ion;
NOW, T~m~EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana hereby declares its intention to annex all of said
territory under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Terri-
tory Act of 1939 and finds and hereby declares that said territory is
deemed uninhabited since it had less than 12 registered voters residing
in it on February 2, 1958the date w~en said Petition was filed, that
said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Aha, California, lies
in the County of Orange, and is described as:
A portion of the Kuffel and Fletcher Tract as shown on a
map recorded in Book 19, at Page 48, of Miscellaneous Records
of Los Angeles County, California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point distant North 87° 44' 45" East 1627.74
feet and North 1° 00' 20" West 30.01 feet from the intersec-
tion of the center lines of old Newport Road and Delhi Road,
as shown on a Licensed Surveyors Map filed in Book 7, at Page
9 of Record of Surveys, in the office of the County Recorder
of Orange County, California, said point of beginning being in
the North line of Delhi Road, 60.00 feet wide; thence North 1°
00' 20" West 1052.73 feet to a point in the present boundary
line of the City of Santa Aha, said line being delineated on a
Licensed Surveyors Map filed in Book 28, at Page 47 of Record
of Surveys in the office of the County Recorder of said Orange

County, thence North 88 ~8 20 East along said line and the
Easterl~ extension thereof,, 827.19 feet to a point; thence
South 1~ 00' 20" East 1037.45 feet to a point in said North line
of Delhi Road; thence South ~7o 44' 45" Nest along said North
line, 827.38 feet to the point of beginning.
That said Council hereby designates "SCHOOL AND PARK ANNEX
NO. 2" as an appropriate name for said annexation.
That said Council heroby declares its intention to and it will
annex said territory to and include it within the Santa Ana Elementary
School District, Santa Aha High School District and Santa Aha Junior
College District and upon the completion of said annexation, said ter-
ritory shall be and become a part of said School Districts.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that March 19, 1956 at the hour of
7:30 P. M. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall at Third and Main
Streets, in the City of Santa Aha, California, is the time and place
fixed at which said Council will hear protests made by any person
owning real property within said territory so proposed to be annexed.
At any time before said hour, any owner of any of said property may
file written protest against this proposed annexation. Such protest
should state the owner's name and, in general terms, a description
and area of the property owned.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of .~anta Aha
at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of ... February , 1956.
