· CERTAIN PROPERTY FOR ~HE WIDENING OF BRTETOL STREET
WHEREAS, Bristol Street as it now exists between Pine and Fourth
Streets in the City of Santa Ana, California, ia inadequate in width to
accommodate the present and future demands of traffic thereon;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City
of Santa Ana does hereby find and determine that the public interest and
necessity require that Bristol Street between Pine Street and Fourth
Street be widened and improved, as shown on a map thereof on file in
the office of the City Engineer and herein referred to for greater de-
tail, to accommodate the present and future demands of traffic thereon
and further require that said City do have, take and acquire an easement
for said purpose in and to those parcels of land described as:
PARCEL 1: (a) Beginning at a point on the South line of Lot l,
Block B, of Goldsmith's Addition to the town of Santa Ana as shown on
a map tlereof recorded in Book 31, Page 23, Miscellaneous Records of
Los Angeles County, 10.00 feet Westerly from the Southeast corner of
said Lot l; thence Northeasterly in a straight line to a point on the
North line of said Lot l, which is 5.22 feet Westerly from the North-
east corner of said Lot 1; thence Easterly along the North line of
said Lot i to the Northeast corner of said Lot; thence Southerly along
the east line of said Lot to the Southeast corner of said Lot; thence
Westerly along the South line of said Lot 10.O0 feet to the point of
beginning; and
(b) The Northerly 5 feet oft~e~ Easterly l0 feet of Lot l,
Block B, said Goldsmith's Addition, except that portion lying within
Parcel l(a); .and
An easement over the Easterly l0 feet of the following Parcels:
PARCEL 2: That portion of Tract No. 999, in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, as shown on the map thereof re-
corded in Book 33, Page 10, of Miscellaneous Maps, records of said
Orange County, described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner
of said Tract No. 999, being the Northwest corner of the intersection
of Pine Street and Bristol Street in said City of Santa Ana, as shown
on said map, and running thence Westerly along the Northerly line of
said Pine Street, 126 feet; thence Northerly, parallel with the West-
erly line of said Bristol Street, 64 feet; thence Easterly, parallel
with said Northerl~ line of Pine Street, 126 feet to said Westerly
line of Bristol Street; thence Southerly, along said Westerly line of
said Bristol Street, 64 feet to the point of beginning;
PARCEL 3: The North 45 feet of the South 90~ feet of the East 90
feet of Lot i in Block A of Tract No. 132, in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map thereof re-
corded in Book ll, Page 42 of Miscellaneous Meps, records of said
Orange County;
PARCEL 4: The North 45 feet of the South 135 feet of the East 90
feet of Lot i in Block A of Tract No. 132, in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map thereof re-
corded in Book ll, Page 42, of Miscellaneous Maps, records of said
Orange County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Attorney be and he is
hereby ordered and directed to bring an action in the name of the City
of Santa Aha in the Superior Court of the State of California in and
for the County of Orange, for condemnation of said property necessary
to be taken as herein ordered and heretofore described and do all
things necessary to prosecute said action to final determination.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:

hereby ordered, that the City of Santa
Plaintiff in the condemnation action or-
dered herein, take immediate possession and use of the property herein
ordered to be acquired, upon complying with the requirements of the
law applicable thereto, that the City Attorney report to the Director
of Finance, the amount of money required therefor, and that the Director
of Finance shall deposit said amount with the Clerk of the Court.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the said action for condemnation
of said p~operty so to be acquired shall be taken in accordance with
Section 14, Article I of the Constitution of the State of Califozula.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That Resolution No. 5~-26 is rescinded.

its regular meeting held on the
