TO THE OITY OF SANTA ANA OF THAT OERTAIN UNInhABITED TERRI-
TORY DESCRIBED Haat~IN AND DESIGNATED "~K ANIIEX", AND GIVING
NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OF PROTESTS ~ETO
WHEREAS, the Boundary Commission of Orange County, California
has approved the description of certain real property as herein set
out for the purpose of annexation and the Planning Comtssion of Santa
Ana has approved the annexation of said territory; and
WHEREAS, the owners of said real property have filed a petition
with the Clerk of the Council, requesting that the City of Santa Ana,
California annex said real property, stating that the same is uninhab-
ited, consenting in writing that said real property may be taxed to pay
any indebtedness or liability of said City contracted prior to such an-
nexatton;
NO~;, THEKEFGRE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City
of Santa Ana hereby declares its intention to annex all of said terri-
tory under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory
Act of 1939 and finds and hereby declares that said territory is deemed
uninhabited since it had less than 12 registered voters residing in it
on April 24, 1956, the date when said petition was filed, that said
territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Aha, California, lies in
the County of Orange, and is described as:
Beginning at a point in the monumented center line of Dyer
Road, said point being at the intersection of said c enter line
with the Northerly extension of the West line of the East half
of Lot 3, of "South Santa Ana Place", as shown on a map recorded
in Book 5, at Page 50 of Miscellanesus Maps, Records of Orange
County, California; thence South 89 04' ~5" EaSt along said
center line, and the Santa Arm City Boundary 330.00 feet to an
intersection with the Northerly extension of the East line of
Lot 5, of said "South Santa Aha Place"; thence South 0° 39' 15"
;;est alotg said extension and East line, 536.60 feet; thence
North 89v-04, 45" West 330.00 feet to a point ~n the West llne
of the East half of said Lot 3; thence North 0 39' 15" East
along said West line, (and its Northerly extension) 536.60 feet
to the center line of Dyer Road the point of beginning.
All bearings and distances are as shown on a licensed Surveyor.~
Map filed in Book 30 at Page 42, Record of Survey in the Office
of the County Recorder of Orange County, California.
That said Council hereby designated "~K ANNEX" as an ap-
propriate name for said annexation.
That said Council hereby declares its intention to &~.d it will
annex said territory to and include it within the Santa Aha Elementary
School District, Santa Aha High School District and Santa Aha Junior
College District and upon the completion of said annexation, said
territory shall be and become a part of said School Districts.
NOTICE IS ~BY GIVEN that June 18, 1956 at the hour of 7:30
P.M. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall at Third and Main Streets,
in the City of Santa Aha, California, is the time and place fi~ed at
which said Council will hear protests made by any person owning real
property within said territory so proposed to be annexed. At any time
before said hour, any owner of any of said property may file written
protest against this proposed annexation. Such protest should state
the owner's name and, in general terms, a description and area of the
property owned.
