IN~ENTION TO VACATE 'WEST OR~WGE ROAD, AND FIXING
TI~E AND PLACE FOR HEARING ALL PERSONS INTERESTED
IN OBJECTING THERETO
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended that West
Orange Road, herein described, be vacated, and the City Council,
after study, has concluded that the same is unnecessary for pres-
ent or prospective street purposes and has caused a map thereof
to be prepared;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ~SOLVED: That the map attached hereto
is hereby approved and ordered filed with this Resolution in ~he
office of the Clerk of the Council and reference is hereby made
to said map for particulars as to this proposed vacation, and the
City Council hereby declares its intention to vacate and abandon
whatever title or interest the City has
the City of Santa Ana,
described as:
West Orange
County of Orange,
Road as it exists,
in that certain street in
State of California,
running westerly
from North Main Street approximately half way to
the Santa Ana Freeway.
That the 16th day of July, 1956 at the hour of 7:30 P.M. on
said day in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, Third and Main
Streets in the City of Santa Ana, California, is hereby fixed as
the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or object-
ing to the proposed vacation of West OranEe Road.
That the City Council hereby declares its intention to proceed
with this street vacation under the provisions of the Street Vacation
Act of 1941, Part 3, Division 9, of the Streets and Highways Code
of the State of California, and
That the Clerk of the Council is hereby ordered to publish
this Resolution in the manner prescribed by law for the publishing
of Ordinances of the City, and the Director of Public Works is
hereby ordered to post conspicuously along the lines of said West
Orange Road herein proposed to be vacated, at least l0 days before
the date of said hearing, notices stating the passage of this
Resolution of Intention and the time and place of hearing; such
notices shall be posted not more than 300 feet apart and at least
3 shall be posted along said street herein proposed to be vacated.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its ~egular meeting held on the 18th day of June, 1956.
