QUITCLAIM DEED BY THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS CONTRACTING
AGENT FOR SECTION ONE OF THE ORANGE COUI~Y JOINT OUT-
FALL SEWER
WHEREAS, heretofore properties owned and operated by Section
One of the Orange County Joint 0utfall Sewer were transferred to
certain County Sanitation Districts; and
WHEREAS, it now appears that there was some question about
the effectiveness of that transfer and/or the description used
therein, and said transfer did not include as grantees the non-
operating districts,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the ~ayor and the
Clerk of the Council be and they are hereby authorized to execute
Quitclaim Deed to release and quitclaim to County Sanitation Dis-
tricts Nos. l, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, and ll, of Orange County, California,
all the City, s right, title and interest in and to the pipe lines,
pumping plants and sewage disposal works on or in the land or
rights of way hereinbelow described, together with said lands and
rights of way, in the County of Orange, State of California,
described as:
UNIT A
Beginning at a point cf the West line of Section 33,
Township 5 South, Range 10 West, B.B.B.&M., from which the
Northwest corner of said Section bears North 0° 27' West
42 chains; running thence North 89° 33' East 306.51 feet
to the Westerly line of that certain parcel of land con-
veyed to Newbert Protection District by deed recorded
November 15th, 1913 in Book 243, page 179 of Deeds; thence
South 29° West along the Westerly line of said land conveyed
to Newbert Protection District to its intersection with the
West line of said Section 33; thence North 0° 27' West
along the West line of said Section 536.30 feet to the
point of beginning, and also
A parcel of land in the Southeast quarter of Section 32,
Township 5 South, Range l0 West, S.B.B.&M., described as
follows:
Beginning at the East quarter corner of said Section 32
and ~ing thence West along the North line of the said
Southeast Quarter 7.79 chains to the Northeast corner of
land agreed to be conveyed to J. N. Ellis by Agreement
recorded in Book 316, page 169 of Deeds, records of Orange
County, California; thence South along the East line of
said parcel, 20.5 chains to the line of an old fence; thence
North 55° East along said fence line to its intersection
with the Northwesterly line of the right of way of the Santa
Aha River; thence Northeasterly along said Northwesterly line
to a point on the East line of said Southeast quarter; thence
North along said East line 8.636 chains to the point of be-
ginning, containing ll.9 acres, more or less, and also
Beginning at the Southeast corner of the Southwest quarter of
the Southeast quarter of Section 32, Township 5 South, Range
10 West, S.B.B.&M., thence along the South line of said Section,
North 89° 27' East 2.37 chains to a board fence; thence along
the same North 25° 27' East 21.20 chains to an a~Ele in said
fence; thence North 55o 4' East 0.87 chains; thence North 20.50
chains; thence West 12.21 chains; thence South 40 chains in the
place of beginning, estimated to contain 40 acres, and also
Beginning at a point on the South line of SectiOno32, Township
5 South, Range l0 West, S.B.B.&M., 2.37 chains89 27' East
from the Southeast corner of the Southwest quarter of the South-
east quarter of Section 32, said point of beginning being the
Southeast corner of the land conveyed by the Stearns Ranchos
Company to J. S. Ellis by deed recorded in Book 30, Page 326 of
Deeds, records of Orange County, California, said land being
now in the name of Annie E. Phelon; thence from said point of
beginning North 25° 27' East 21.20 chains to an angle point in
the East boundary of said land of Annie E. Phelon; thence
North 55° 04, East along the boundary line of the said land
conveyed by said Stearns Ranchos Company to J. S. Ellis ar~
along the boundary line of land conveyed by the Stearns Ranchos
Company to Anna V. Reed, by deed recorded in Book 359, page
293 of Deeds, records of Orange County, California, and along
the boundary line of the land conveyed by the Stearns Ranchos
Company to Fred Boslar by deed recorded in Book 91, page 72
of Deeds, records of Orange County, California, to the inter-
section with the West line of the official 300 foot channel of
the Santa Aha River, as said West line of said channel is es-
tablished by deed to the Newbert Protection District, recorded
in Book 193, page 166 of Deeds, records of Orange County,
California, thence from said point of intersection Southwesterly
along the West line of said official 300 foot channel on a 15'
curve to the left with a radius of 23068.33 feet to the inter-
section of said West line with the South line of Section 3~

Also all that certain strip of varying widths bounded on the
North by the South line of Section 32, Township 5 South, Range
l0 West, S.B.B.&M., and bounded on the South by the Pacific
Ocean, and lying between the East line of the above described
30 foot strip and the West line, and the prolongation thereof,
of the official 300 foot channel of the Santa Ana River, as
said West line of said channel is established by deeds now of
record in Orange County, in favor of the Newbert Protection
District of Orange County.
The use in the above description of the words "surveyed center
line of the Santa Ana-Anaheim Joint outfall sewer" or the use
of words of similar import, means and shall be construed to
mean the survey for the outfall sewer pipe line right of way
which is set forth and shown upon the map made by W. G. Knox
and O. E. Steward, a copy of which map is attached, and
marked "Exhibit A", to the complaint on file in the Superior
Court of the State of California in and for the County of
Orange, in Action No. 13753, and all references to the line
and stations of such survey are as they appear upon said map.
And also a parcel of land acquired for a chlorination
station and being that certain parcel situated in the
County of Orange, State of California, more particularly
described as follows:
That part of Section 19, Township 6 South, Range 10 West,
S.B.B.&M., beginning at a point in the Westerly right of
way line of the Santa Ana-Anaheim Joint 0utfall Sewer said
point being South 15° 45' West 883.98 feet and North 74o 15'
West 15 feet from Surveyor,s Station No. 68, a point in the
Easterly Boundary line of the Ranchos Las Bolsas as described
in Book l, pages 443 and ~i15!~ andln Book ~ pages 332 and 333
of Patents, Records of Los Angeles County, California, running
thence North 74° 15' West 10.00 feet; thence North 15° 45'
East 40 feet; thence South 74° 15' East 10.00 feet to a point
in the Westerly ~ight of way line of the Santa Ana-Anahetm
Joint Outfall Sewer, thence South 15° 45' West 40 feet along
the last mentioned line to the point of beginning.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the 2nd day of July, 1956.
