INTENTION TO VACATE RIVERINE STREET BE~VEEN SIXTH
AND EIGHTH STREETS, AND FIXING TIME ~D PLACE FOR
HEARING ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN OBJECTING THERETO
WHEREAS, aS the request of the Board of Supervisors of
Orange County, and after study, the City Council has concluded
that that portion of Riverine Street hereinbelow described is
unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes, and has
caused a map thereof to be prepared,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: ~nat the map attached
hereto is hereby approved and ordered filed with this Resolution
in the Office of the Clerk of the Council, and reference"is here-
by made to said map for particulars as to the exact location of
this proposed vacation, and the City Council hereby declares its
intention to vacate and abandon as a public street that certain
area in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of
California, described as:
Riverine Street as it now exists, running north
and south, bounded on the north by the southerly
line of Eighth Street, and bounded on the south
by the northerly line of Sixth Street.
That the 6th day of August, 1956 at the hour of 7:30 p.m.
on said day in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, Third and
Main Streets in the City of Santa Ana, California, is hereby
fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons interested
in or objecting to the proposed vacation of Riverine Street be-
tween Sixth Street andEighth Street.
That the City Council hereby declares its intention to pro-
ceed with this street vacation under the provisions of the Street
Vacation Act of 1941, Part 3, Division 9, of the Streets and High-
ways Code of the State of California, and
That the Clerk of the Council is hereby ordered to publish
this Resolution in the manner prescribed by law for the publishing
of Ordinances of the City, and the Director of Public Works is
hereby ordered to post conspicuously along the lines of said
Riverine Street between Sixth Street and Eighth Street, herein p~ro-
posed to be vacated, at least l0 days before the date of said hear-
ing, notices stati~ the passage of this Resolution of Intention
and the time and place of hearing; such notices shall be posted not
more than 300 feet apart and at least 3 shall be posted along said
street herein proposed to be vacated.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 16th day of July, 1956.
