UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN AND DESIGNATED
"SEGERSTROM ANNEX NO. 2", AND GIVING NOTICE OF TIME
AND PLACE FOR HEARING OF PROTESTS THERETO

is described as:
WHEreAS, the Boundary Commission of Orange County, California
has approved the description of certain real property as herein
set out for the purpose of annexation; and
WHEREAS, the owners of said real property have filed a
petition with the Clerk of the Council, requesting that the City
of Santa Ana, California annex said real property, stating that
the same is uninhabited, consenting in writing that said real
property may be taxed to pay any indebtedness or liability of
said City contracted prior to s~ch annexation;
NOW, fHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of
the City of Santa Aha hereby declares its intention to annex all
of said territory under the provisions of the Annexation of Unin-
habited Territory Act of 1939 and finds and hereby declares that
said territory is deemed un~abited since it had less than 12
residing in it on July 30, 1956, the date when
filed, that said territory is contiguous to the
California, lies in the County of Orange, and
Beginning at the Northwest co~ner of Lot '~B" of Tract No.
510, as shown on a map recorded in Book 23, at pages 9 and
l0 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County,
California, said point being an angle point in the exist-
in§ boundary line of the City of Santa Ana; thence North
89 10' 15" East along the North line of said Lot "B" and
t~e Easterly extension thereof, 819.73 feet; thence North
i 19' 45" West 793.15 feet to a point in the Westerly ex-
tension of the North line of Lot 2, of Tract ~o. 1013, as
shown on a map recorded in Book 33, at page 36 of Miscel-
laneous Maps, records of said Orange County; thence North
87 ~2 15 East along said extension and North l~ne,
732.45 feet to the Northeast corner of said Lot 2, thence
South 1° 00' 45" East 2282.38 feet; thence South 88° ~, 15"
West 2819.42 feet to a point in the East line of Harbor
Boulevard, 80.00 feet wide, as shown on said map of Tract
No. lO13; thence North 1° 19' 45" West along said East
line, 1482.00 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot l, of
said Tract No. 1Gl3, said point being an angle point in
the existing boundary line of the City of Santa Aha; thence
North 88° 43' 45" East along said boundary line, 1280.00
feet to the point of beginning.
That said Council hereby designates "Segerstrom Annex
No. 2" as an appropriate name for said annexation.
That said Council hereby declares its intention to and it
will annex said territory to and include it within the Santa Aha
Elementary School District, Santa Ana High School District and
Santa Ana Junior College District and upon the completion of said
annexation, said territory shall be and become a part of said
School Districts.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that September 4, 1956 at the hour
of 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall at Third and
Main Streets, in the City of Santa Ana, California, is the time
and place fixed at which said Council will hear protests made by
any person owning real property within said territory so proposed
to be annexed. At any time before said hour, any owner of any of
said property may file written protest against this proposed an-
nexation. Such protest should state the owner's name and, in
general terms, a description and area of the~property owned.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its adjourned regular meeting held on the 30th day of July,
1956.
