RESOLUTION NO. 56-216 HECOM~,~DING INCREASE IN THE
U~k~DERGROUND WT~.~.~ BASIN REPL~NISH~NT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, for some time the Orange County Water District
has been importing water into the Orange County Basin for the
purpose of sinking the same, and for the purpose of preventing
undue extraction from the underground basin; and
~tEREAS, the rapidly increasing population over said
basin is constantly making the threat of depletion more serious,
NOW, THE~tEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa
Ana reconmlends to, ~ud urges, the Orange County ~Yater District
to do all things necessary to carry out and to increase its
present plans to replenish the underground water basin within
said City.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of August,
19~6.
