ings for the calling of a bond election in the City of
Santa~Ana, to be held on November 6, 1956, for the ~urpose
of subm~ing to the qUal~e~ VoterS.:of the City of Santa

to be held om the same dateand Maat within the City of

officers for the two elections be the same, and that the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange canvass the
returns of the city bond election and that said statewide
general election and said city bond election be held in
all respec'bs as if there were only one election.
NOW,~THEREFOP~E, the City C0~ucil of the City of
Santa Aha, California, DGE~ HEM~Y RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND
ORDER as follows:
Section 1. That the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Orange be and it is hereby requested to grant
permission for the consolidation of the bond election to be
held in the City of Santa Ana on November 6, 1956, with the
statewide general election to be held on said date, and to
order said consolidation.
Section 2. The exact form of the question or
proposition to be voted upon at said bond election as it
shall appear on the ballot is as follows:

Said proposition shall be designated on the ballot
by a letter printed on the left margin of the square con-
taining the description of the measure, as provided in
Section ~831 of the Elections Code of the State of California.
Section 3. Said Board of Supervisors is hereby
authorized to canvass the returns of said city bond election
which it is hereby requested to consolidate with said state-
wide general election and said elections shall be held in
all respects as if there were only one election, and only
one form of ballot shall be used.
Section 4. Said Board of Supervisors is hereby
requested to issue instructions to the County Clerk to
take any and all steps necessary for the holding of said
consolidated election.
Section 5. That the Clerk of the Council of
the City of Santa Ana is hereby directed to file a
certified copy of this resolution with the Board of Super-
visors of the County of Orange and a certified copy thereof
with the County Clerk of said county.

thereof and was approved by the Mayor of said city at an
adjourned regular meeting of said City Council held
