OF REAL PROPERTY FOR PUBLIC STREET PURPOSES, TO EX-
TEND WAL~KIT STREET, AND DECLARIiQG PUBLIC iTECESSITY
THEREFOR
~tEREAS, Walnut Street between Artesia Street and Daisy
Street does not presently exist, and it is necessary to open said
street between said points to accommodate the present and future
traffic in the area;
NOW, THEREFORE, HE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of
the City of Santa Ana does hereby find and determine that the pub-
lic interest and necessity require that Walnut Street be opened
between Artesia Street and Daisy Street within the City of Santa
Ana, as shown on a map designated SW-95 R/W Map, in the office
of the City Engineer, and herein referred to for greater detail,
to accommodate the present and future demands of traffic using the
existing portions of Walnut Street in said City, and further require
that said City do have, take and acquire in fee simple for said
purposes the entire parcels of land lying in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, and described by parcels as
follows:
Parcel 1. Lot Twelve in Block "B" of Tract No. 233,

California.
Parcel 2. Lot Fourteen in Block B of Tract No. 233,
~ Place, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 13,
page 9 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County,
California.

Parcel 6. Lot Fourteen in Block A of Tract No. 233,
Franklin Place, as shown on a ~ap recorded in Book 13,

California.
Parcel ?. Lot Eleven in Block A of Tract No. 233, as
shown on a Nap recorded in Bock l~, page 9 of Ntscel-
laneous Naps, records of Orange County, California.
Parcel 8. Lot Thirteen in Block A of Tract No. 23~, as
shown on a Nap recorded in Book 13, Page 9 of Nlscel-
laneous Naps, records of Orange County, California,
for the reason that the parts necessarily taken to be used for
said purposes would leave the ~emainders thereof in such size,
shape, and condition as to require said City to pay compensation
for the taking of such parts which would be equal to or greater
than the fair and reasonable value of the entire parcels, and
said Council hereby finds and declares that the entire parcels
are necessary for the public use, benefit, safety, economy, and
general welfare.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Attorney be and he
is hereby ordered and directed to bring an action in the name of the
City of Santa Ana in the Superior Court of the State of California
in and for the County of Orange, for condemnation of said property
necessary to be taken as herein ordered and heretofore described
and do all things necessary to prosecute said action to final de-
termination.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the public interest, necessity
and convenience require and it is hereby o~dered, that the City of
Santa Aha, a Nunictpal Corporation, Plaintiff in the condemnation
action ordered herein, take immediate possession and use of the
property herein ordered to be acquired, upon complying with the
requirements of the law applicable thereto, that the City Attorney
report to the Director of Finance the amount of money required
therefor, and that the Director of Fin~uce deposit said amount with
the County Clerk.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the said action for condemna-
tion of said property so to be acquired shall be taken in accordance
with Section 14, Article I of the Constitution of the State of
California.
