SANTA ANA, C~LT~ORNIA, REQUESTING APPOINTMENT OF
JAMES B. STODDARD TO THE VACANCY ON THE SANTA ~
WHEREAS, the m~intenance of the water supply for the cities and
peoples of Orange County is the most vital problem facing said cities and
peoples, and
WHEREAS, a vacancy now exists on the Board of the Santa Ana Regional
Water Pollution Control Board ~nd Mr. James B. Stoddard, a member of the
City Council of the City of Newport Beach~ California, is a consulting
engineer in the field of water pollution and chemical engineering.
NOW, THEREFOEE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of
Santa Aha hereby endorses and recomuends to the Executive Committee of the
Orange County LeAgue of Cities and to Honorable Goodwin J. Knight, Governor
of the State of California, the appointment of James B. Stoddard to fill the
vacancy now existing in the Santa Ana Regional Water Pollution Control Board
of Region 8.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That a copy of this resolution shall be for-
warded by the Clerk of the Council to the office of the Governor~ Sacramento~
California.
PASSED AND ADOP'I~JD by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at
its regular meeting held on the 19th day of .. November ~ 1956.
